Rook

The Stray Ghost

"Somebody called for an exterminator?"

NOTES:
- Rook's main damage comes fromDouble Tap and Basic Attacks, which are slow but heavy hitting, similar to Nova's Anti-Armor Shells.
- Rook specializes in detecting what the enemy team's next action is withINTEL and well placedBiosteel Mines.
-INTEL heavily counters heroes such as Zeratul, Nova, Murky, or sometimes even Abathur as it marks not only their location, but also where they are going.
-INTEL andNUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED are exceptional for denying enemies from easily taking objectives such as Bosses.
- Psionic Disruption is great for interrupting heroes like E.T.C. or Li Li from range.
- Rook only has ONE Heroic ability that cannot choose different upgrades, unlike Tracer or even my own concept of   Morgl.
- I wanted Rook's design to be clean, straightforward and efficient, like a true Ghost! Everything from his ability icons to the effects are all exactly aimed for that.

Combat Trait

1
Intel
Rook inherently sees 20% further and has 10% increased attack range.
After being out of combat for 3.5 seconds Rook enters stealth and gains 10% movement speed.

Activate to mark all enemy heroes with a notifier ping, not revealing them but marking their movement for 2.5 seconds. Enemies will not know when they are marked.

Primary Abilities

1
Q: Double Tap
Charges for 0.5 seconds, causing Rook's next basic attack to fire two attacks instantly and with 10% increased damage each. The second bullet will mark the target with Armor Shred, increasing the damage they take from basic attacks by 10% for 3 seconds.
Cooldown: 4 seconds
2
W: Psionic Disruption
Create an explosion of psionic energy at a target location. Enemy heroes struck are interrupted from any channeled ability and 2 seconds are added to all their ability cooldowns.
Cooldown: 11 seconds
3
E: Biosteel Mines
Holds up to 3 charges.
Deploy one mine that burrows after 1.25 seconds and lasts for up to 120 seconds. If triggered by an enemy hero, it reveals them and slows them by 10% for 3 seconds while dealing 86 (+4% per level) damage over the duration.
Cooldown: 6 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED
Enter stealth and aim at a target location in vision range for 5 seconds. The center of the target location will be marked by a very small red dot. If the channel successfully completes, a nuclear missile will strike and deal 526 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies in a large radius.
In order to begin Nuclear Launch's cooldown, Rook must return to base after using the ability. This applies even if the channel was interrupted.

Cooldown: 80 seconds

Tier 1 Talents

Two Plus One Tap: Adds an additional strike.
Vital Canisters: Deals 2% of the target's missing health each strike.
Heavyshell Canisters: Deals 1.25% of the target's maximum health each strike.

Tier 2 Talents

Maelstrom Wave: Now also stuns all enemy heroes struck in the middle for 0.75 seconds.
Focused Disruption: Adds an additional second to cooldowns and grants 5% of Rook's maximum health as a shield for every enemy hero struck.
Projected Mines: Mines can be deployed 50% further away and last 20 seconds longer.
Demolisher Mines: Mines burrow in 0.75 seconds and now explode instead of attaching on a single target, affecting a small radius when triggered.

Tier 3 Talents

Farsight Canisters: Now increases attack range by 25%.
Spread the Joy: Basic attacks hit a wide cone behind the target dealing 75% of primary damage.
Intel Expert: Reduces Intel's active cooldown by 10 seconds.

Tier 4 Talents

Arm Silo: Enables NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED.

Tier 5 talents

Biosteel Grenades: Biosteel Mines can be flung directly onto enemy heroes, instantly detonating them.
Shredder Mines: Marks targets with Armor Shred, increasing the damage they take from basic attacks by 15%. (Stacks with Double Tap Armor Shred)
Reactive Mines: Now mines also reveal a small area around them and immediately latch onto the first enemy hero that enters their field of vision.

tier 6 talents

Trigger Happy: Basic attacks reduce Double Tap's cooldown by 1 second.
Implosive Disruption: Pulls all enemy heroes struck slightly to the center and slows by 15% instead.
Accelerated Regeneration: Activate to reduce damage taken by 75% for 2 seconds and restore 40% of Rook's missing health over 4 seconds. 45 seconds cooldown.

tier 7 talents

Nuclear Dominion: NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED deals 50% additional damage over 4 seconds and stuns non-heroic units and structures for 4 seconds.
Rogue Discipline: Attacking or using abilities no longer breaks stealth. After being damaged Rook keeps stealth for an additional second before being revealed.
Reload Artillery: Activate to reset the cooldown of Double Tap and fully replenish Biosteel Mines charges.

Ending Notes

Nice concept! I'd like to know what was the second heroic, because I didn't see the 1.0 version.

Btw, thx for your comment on Iron Juggernaut! I'll soon release Chromaggus. Be sure to check it out when I'll release him. ;]

Thanks!
The alternate heroic was having permanent stealth that was not broken by Rook's own actions, and after being damaged he would continue in stealth for 1 second, but I figured that could be a level 20 talent no problem and I really, really wanted him to always have a Nuke on him.
Oh, and of course I will check out a nice Chromaggus concept. Gotta love that two headed badass!
