Selendis

The High Executor

Selendis found her way to the nexus upon a quest to discover what had occurred her her heirarch, Artanis and return him to Aiur. To assist her, she was accompanied by most, if not all, of the mighty Golden Armada. Equally at home commanding a battle from the command bridge of her mighty super-carrier, or engaging her foes directly in viscous hand-to-hand combat, Selendis is a force to be reckoned with.

Combat Trait

Lead By Example
Allows Selendis to command all the units under her control, either to follow her or return to attack the nearest lane. Passively, causes any enemy Selendis attacks to become the target of all nearby friendly creeps and causes the target to take +15% additional damage from creeps for 5 seconds.

Primary Abilities

Psionic Charge
Energy Cost: 60
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Select a target point and Selendis will charge towards it at a great speed, striking up to 3 enemies along to way for 80(+4% per level) damage. This cannot target the same enemy twice and prioritizes heroes over minions.

Warp Pylon
Energy Cost: 150
Cooldown: 80 seconds

Warp in a pylon from orbit. So long as this pylon survives, it will periodically warp in two zealots and a stalker. Only one pylon can exist at any given time and can be destroyed with 5 basic hero attacks or 10 creep attacks.

Orbital Photon Blast
Energy Cost: 150
Cooldown: 5 seconds per charge
Maximum Charges: 5

Target an area. After 1.5 second, a ship in orbit will fire a powerful energy weapon that deals damage in a small area. Can hold up to 5 charges by default and can be shift-queued together.

Cooldown: 40 seconds

Activate to grant Selendis and all nearby minions a shield with 12 stacks. Minion attacks will consume stack and hero attacks will consume 2.

Heroic Abilities

Summon Carrier
Energy Cost: 300
Cooldown: 260 seconds

Selendis warps into her Carrier and flies it around the battlefield. While in the carrier, she can use an active ability to send her interceptors to a target location to attack, or command them to attack a specific unit directly. While in the carrier, Selendis also gains free pathing over terrain and unit obstacles. This does not extend to abilities that restrict movement such as roots or Tassadar's force wall.

Gifts of the Daelaam
Energy Cost: 200
Cooldown: 60 seconds

All friendly minions on the map are upgraded to use Protoss forged war gear. This means that melee creeps become Zealots, ranged creeps become Stalkers, mages become Sentries and catapults become Reavers. Sentry creeps will grant a buff to nearby units that reduces the ranged damage they take and can also grant a single nearby unit a small amount of shielding for a short time. Reavers deal heavy splash damage from a distance and deal bonus damage vs structures. These upgrades last 30 seconds

Health Regeneration: 0.8 (+0.7 per level)

Energy: 400(+12 per level)
Energy Regeneration: 2(+0.12 per level)

Attack Speed: 1.25 attacks per second
Attack Damage: 60(+9 per level)

Level 1 Talents

Glory through Combat: killing creeps provide progress towards stacks of Skill through Combat. Every 6 stacks, Selendis and her summons gain +1 basic attack damage. Selendis' summons only have a 15% chance of gaining a stack if they kill a minion. Hero kills count as 3 stacks.


Support Systems Engaged: Causes pylons to also warp in a sentry to support the summoned units. Sentries project an aura that reduces the ranged damage friendly units take and can channel to provide a temporary shield to a single ally.


Psionic Recovery: Collecting Healing globes grants Selendis a permanent +0.15 health regen per second and causes her to share this bonus health regen with her summoned units while nearby.


Orbital Barrage: reduces the delay of Orbital Photon Blast firing by 20%

Level 4 Talents

Kahlai Upgrade Cache: grants summoned zealots the charge ability and the whirlwind ability. These abilities have a 30 second cooldown.


March of the Kahlai: can have up to 3 pylons on the map at a time.


Annihilation: Psionic charge can strike up to 6 targets as opposed to 3. Increases the cooldown by 25%


Blinding Speed: Enemies struck by psionic charge will miss their next 2 attacks. Increases the energy cost by 10.

Level 7 Talents

Temporal Distortions: Orbital Photon Blast slows movement and attack speed of any enemy it hits.


Photonic Resonance: Enemies hit by Orbital Photon Blast will take an additional 50(+3/level) damage when hit by a basic attack.


Warp Fields Online: Selendis can channel for 1 second to instantly teleport to one of her pylons.


Narazeem Upgrade Cache: Grants summoned Stalkers the Blink ability, which causes them to teleport backwards and gain a shield upon taking fatal damage. Can only occur once per unit.

Level 13 talents

Pylon Overcharge: Friendly units within a small distance of a pylon gain 20% increased movement speed and attack speed.


Fortified Position: Pylons also warp in four photon cannons positioned on the cardinal directions, provided there is space. The photon cannons require 15 second to warp in and to replace themselves if they are destroyed. Photon cannons can be destroyed in 20 creep attacks and 10 hero attacks. They will shut down if the pylon is destroyed.


Psionic Fury: Psionic Charge can target a specific unit, who will be hit at twice at the end of the charge. Selendis' auto attacks against this target will deal 25% more damage for 2 seconds.


Shield Overcharge: Activate to grant Selendis and her allied heroes a shield that absorbs up to 6 basic hero attacks or 12 basic creep attacks. Lasts 3 seconds.

Level 16 talents

Heavy Assault: increase the number of Zealots and Stalkers spawned by 1, adds an Immortal to each wave.


Unto the Breach: Whenever Selendis earns either a kill or a take down, instantly spawn an additional wave from each pylon.


Supporting Fire: Whenever you use Orbital Photon Blast, another shot is randomly targeted in a small radius of the first shot, dealing 50% damage. Increases the energy cost by 50.


Purifying Strike: Psionic Charge instantly kills minions and causes them to explode. Enemy heroes hit by Psionic Charge will take 15% increased damage for 5 seconds.

Blades of Justice: Psionic Charge gains bonus damage equal to Selendis' attack damage

General Thoughts

The idea behind Selendis was to create a hero that could either engage in team fights, bringing a literal army to bear against enemy heroes, or heavily push undefended lanes; it was also intended that she could switch between these two tasks at will. These two play styles are exemplified best in her talent, where she can either command her summoned minions to follow her or to simply assault the nearest lane.

When playing as a Selendis, I would suggest:
-Having above average map awareness. Locating and exploiting weak points in enemy
