Serbii

The Tiny Sentry

- A defensive support hero, Serbii is all about barriers and shields. He even uses plasma bubbles to lift enemies off the ground!
Guardian is Serbii's signature skill. It is an area of effect damage-mitigation toggled ability, representative of Sentries from Starcraft.
Chain Barrier is Serbii's traditional "healing" ability, which as its name states, shields two (or three when talented) targets.
Graviton Bubble is essentially a 1 second ranged, point and click stun, which of course is very a powerful tool.
Negashield is an all-around strong heroic that prevents burst.
Crystal Field is great to make tanks moving force walls, or to protect your mages from enemy melee assassins.
- Something more about barriers and shields. Did I mention barriers and shields?

Ending and Author's Notes

Alrighty, thanks a lot for checking out Serbii, the Tiny Sentry.
As always I would appreciate comments and feedback, and leaving a thumbs up motivates the author. Spread the love!

I wanted to create a hero that was completely centered around making bubbles around people. Either around enemies or allies, or just around everyone in the case of Guardian. Feel free to post builds down below, I want to get some nice ones to feature in a Build Section, like how I did with Morgl!

Hope you enjoyed reading Serbii's concept, and I would suggest checking out my other concepts if you liked the layout and feel of my work(s)!

Changelog

v1.8 - Increased Crystal Field duration by 2 seconds.
Reworked both ult upgrades.
Decreased Chained Barrier shields but increased duration.
Sustained Plasma (Lv 4) mana reduction increased from 40% to 50%.
Hypersentry (Lv 20) movement speed increased to 30% from 20%.

v1.7 - Battery's missing mana regen increased from 2% to 4%

Revamped all Tier 6 talents
Changed Guardian to be more in line with current armor system, but kept the word "damage reduction".
New Level 20 Talent: Endless Energy. Provides team with basically infinite mana, should be more in line with the current insane level 20 talents.

Crystal Field duration increased from 2.5 seconds to 4 seconds.
Purifying Shield also removes sleeps (Tier 6 Talent)

Sentinel projectile absorption decreased from 20% to 12%.
Sustained Plasma mana reduction changed from 4 mana to 6 mana.
Disruption projectile absorption reduced from 35% to 22%.
Greater Dome shields now have a 6 seconds lifespan and a 10% max health cap, but charge up faster (from 0.5% to 1% max hp per sec)
Energized no longer grants attack speed, instead it directly increases damage output by 8%.
Hypersentry movement speed reduced from 20% to 15%.

v1.4 - Energized grants 15% attack speed, down from 25%.

Nice work man. Innovative abilitys, a matched theme and great presentation. Love it.

I have some minds/ideas about some stuff:
GRAVITON BUBBLE
Lift an enemy off the ground and hold them in the air for 1 second. Then, let them fall and cause 224 (+5% per level) damage to a small area.

One question: Did SERBII need to channel this ability(no movement) and is the target in stasis or attackable?
GUARDIAN
Serbii extends his barriers to create a large dome around him, granting all allied heroes inside 8% damage reduction and reducing the damage of all incoming projectiles an additional by 12%.

Blizzard dont use ressistences about this numbers. They only use 25%/50%/75%/100%. Maybe increase manacosts and increase ressistence to 25%?

Or a different idea:
SERBII become a shield of 600 points. When a closed allied hero take damage, the shield take this damage instead. Last 5 seconds. Cost: 50 Mana Cooldown: 10 seconds (Example values!)

Hey!
Regarding Guardian, I would love to keep it this way, it's all hypothetical so I'm sticking with that. But yeah thanks for pointing that out, I did not have that in mind. I agree though, I doubt Guardian would make it into the game as is.
Regarding Gravi Bubble, Serbii can cast that with a very slight "stop", think of most abilities were there is a slight cast animation of say .20 seconds. And the target is still open for attacks yes.

Thanks for the comment, always awesome to have some insightful comments around :D Very, very appreciated.

Dude EVERY CONCEPT OF YOUR I HAVE READ IS GREAT! Just know that i'm a big fan and that you should keep pressing on. (Only reason i made an account was to make hero concepts, and that want was inspired by you!) Also Slam makes him (her?) one of the best merc clearers.

I love the idea of a support hero whos focus is not on directly healing or giving allies shields, but instead by other abilities in its own unique way. That being said, blizzard has apparently decided any hero who doesn't get a healing talent is not allowed to be labeled as a support, hense medivh being a specialist.

But Medivh can actually heal a allied hero by his level 16 Talent. Tassadar doesn't heal either but he has a talent that heals the allied hero every basic attack done hence he's a Support.

I really like the concept here! Although I'm unsure about Negashield, as there are other abilities that do similar (health rather than a shield) without a channel time.

If you are referring to Ancestral Healing or Divine Palm, they are designed to mend damage, while Negashield is supposed to prevent it while also absorbing abilities.
For example Auriel's crystal defends an ally, but enemies just simply don't hit the stasis'd ally. Negashield on the other hand eats up ultimates and focus fire no problem!
And thanks! :D

I think its more similar to uthers divine shield. But you can still attack him and his not unstoppaple. I think, the duration of Negashield should increased.

Honestly, they should create a hero similar to this, hots needs more wall/environmental modifications.

Love this concept! It seems like a fun, engaging mix of Tassadar, Rehgar, Uther, and Malfurion, but done such that it stands on its own as a distinct, unique Support with lots of utility. Nice work!
