Shadowbite

Demonic Scavenger

Shadowbite is a glass cannon utility hero. Nearly as small as a minion and able to move very quickly across the map with his fast movement speed in addition to his burrowing trait. He specializes in slowing and stunning enemies while healing himself and, optionally, his allies well. Possesses fairly low health overall, but is capable of turning a five man battle around quickly.

Combat Trait

1
Burrow
Shadowbite burrows to target location within team's line of sight. 30 second cooldown.

Primary Abilities

1
Leap Attack
Shadowbite leaps at target, knocking them back slightly and stuns them for 1.5 seconds. Deals damage to single target comparable to Leoric's skeletal swing. 10 second cooldown.
2
Scavenge
Drains health from target and heals Shadowbite for approximately 10% of his maximum health. If used on a hero, marks them for scavenging. If they are killed by Scavenge, Shadowbite's health is restored by a further 30%. Killing a hero with Scavenge also activates Regurgitate. 15 second cooldown.
3
Tongue Lash
Fires tongue in a straight line similar to Stitches' hook. All targets struck by Shadowbite's tongue receive an average amount of damage and are slowed for 1.5 seconds. 6 second cooldown.

Secondary Abilities

1
Regurgitate
If used within 5 seconds of being activated by Scavenge, regurgitates last meal from defeated hero. This spawns X health globes depending on Shadowbite's current health.

30% health or less = 3 health globes
60% health or less = 2 health globes
Above 60% health = 1 health globe

If used when available, Regurgitate activates a cooldown of 24 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
Demonic Frenzy
Increases damage of basic attacks by 2.5% with every successive basic attack that hits. Abilities that hit increase damage by 3%. If Regurgitate is used, Shadowbite instead spits out green globes that spread effect of Demonic Frenzy to nearby enemies within range of green globes. Effect lasts 10 seconds on Shadowbite, or 6 seconds on friendly heroes. 75 second cooldown.
2
Greased Lightning
Target becomes enchanted with the Charged Bolt spell from Diablo. When struck, they release 3-5 bolts that move around erratically for 2-3 seconds. Coming in contact with a bolt deals average damage. Coming in contact with several is deadly, while being exposed to countless charged bolts is guaranteed to be lethal. Charged Bolt enchantment lasts 10 seconds. 65 second cooldown.

Special Mount

1
Demonic Speed
No mount available. Shadowbite always runs at a speed that is roughly in between standard run speed and mounted speed. Press Z to activate a slight speed burst for 5 seconds that makes Shadowbite run slightly faster than a mounted hero. 26 second cooldown.

Wassup?

Not including any numbers since that tends to attract the ire of people who argue over whether or not the numbers are balanced. Instead, this is just a hero concept with concept abilities that omit numbers.

I also couldn't decide what to classify this concept as, so I just went with specialist because he would be a little quirky.

As far as numbers go, I can understand, despite the fact that people arguing over your numbers and you changing them CAN make you a better player at the game, by understanding what the average health of an X class is, you can actually check your damage and think to yourself "It is gonna be enough", and so on, as well as making a more realistic concept.

On the other hand, as far as class goes, I made a few specifications by going over heroes :

Assassin : Burst or Sustain, excelling mainly at taking down heroes, has large amounts of damage and medium to medium-high health. Can do other things, but must main as a team fighting damage dealer.

Support : Buff allies, disrupts enemies, low health, most of the time is ranged, possesses at least one way of healing allies without talenting for it, excluding heroics from that rule.

Warrior : At least 1 cc ability. High to Very High amounts of health, must have an engaging ability, must have one crowd control ability, must be able to "peel" for his allies (Draw back enemies to himself so his allies can escape, called peel because, technically, the hero is removing the layers of his health to allow others to escape. That's my little bs theory but oh well, it makes sense. To me, at least.)

Specialist : Can contain an extremely wide array of heroes ; Can focus from jungling (getting camps) to siege damage (Wave clear, structure disabling or simply getting lots of summons to draw fire from them). Zone control, like Gazlowe, is also a part of the things a specialist can do. Mainly, specialist is the class where damage dealers that aren't at their full potential on team fights go.
