Soundquake

Overwatch Character Concept

Combat Trait

1
Reverberate
Soundquake heals for a small amount of the damage he deals.

Primary Abilities

1
Left Click - Echo Mortar
Lob a slow moving projectile that damages enemies it hits.

Upon colliding with the ground, the projectile will create a pulsating area of sound that deals damage over time to enemies standing within it. Lasts 4 seconds.

Soundquake does not need to reload, but has a very slow attack speed.
2
Right Click - Soundproof
Mark an ally for 6 seconds, redirecting 25% of the damage dealt to them towards yourself.

4 second cooldown. 2 charges. Does not stack.
3
E - Resonance
Reduce your movement speed by 50% and surround yourself with an aura that deals low damage over time to enemies inside it.

Deals triple damage to barriers.

Lasts until cancelled. 3 second cooldown on toggle.
4
Shift - Doppler March
March forward in a straight line for 3 seconds or until you collide with terrain.

While marching:

- You take 50% less damage

- You are unstoppable and ignore slows

- Your damage over time effects tick twice as fast

9 second cooldown.
5
Q - Mach Speed
Activate to increase your Mach Speed by one level, up to Mach 5 (Soundquake is considered to be at "Mach 1" by default).

Each increase in Mach Speed:

- Increases the rate at which your damage over time effects tick by 25%

- Gives you 50 additional health

- Reduces your ability cooldowns by 0.5 seconds

Charging to Mach 2 is quite fast, with each Mach level requiring more charge than the one before it.

Additionally Soundquake's ult charge can decay. This decay is more pronounced at higher Mach Speeds. When your ult charge decays to 0% you lose one level of Mach Speed.

Playstyle

Soundquake is a "King of the Hill" style tank that is in his element while brawling it out on a crowded point. The more pressure he's under the better.

Slow, ponderous and with almost no mobility, Soundquake moves to an area and claims it as his own. When he toggles on his Resonance aura his movement speed is greatly reduced, but he begins to deal damage to everything around him. This damage -- although low -- helps keep him alive due to his Reverberate passive. Additionally this aura deals increased damage to barriers, quickly shattering them. The point belongs to Soundquake and you will fight him on his terms.

This constant stream of self healing is mitigated by the fact that Soundquake is constantly applying Soundproof to his allies and redirecting a portion of the damage they suffer to himself.

When he needs to reposition and can't afford to toggle off his aura Soundquake is able to utilize Doppler March. This allows him to move unimpeded in a chosen direction and increase the frequency of his damage (and therefor his healing) while doing so.

Additionally Soundquake has a unique ultimate that builds in power each time he activates it. Instead of simply being a one time use, Mach Speed increases Soundquake's power each time he moves up to the next level. The longer a fight goes on, the stronger Soundquake becomes.

Soundquake's role is to be an immovable object that refuses to be dislodged from the point. He welcomes the pressure applied by the enemy team and shoulders the load while buying time for his team's damage dealers to do their job.

I love how you made an Overwatch Concept for like Overwatch and not Heroes of the Storm. Sounds great. Now I wish we had this Hero builder feature on the Overwatch fire site.
