Terry

Earth Elemental

'Terry, an Earth Elemental like all others, he was training his whole life to serve the Shaman player that he would be matched with.But that Shman player never summoned him, so Terry fell into a deep depression.Fortunally, when his life had no meaning left, he was chosen to come... in the Nexus.'

As you can tell 'Terry' is a made character based on the Earth elemental.I decided to name him 'Terry' because the word 'Terra' means 'Earth' in Latin so it kind of fit.



Terry is a mid-ranged mage, who relies on landing finishing blows to deal powerful ability damage, while having the ability to block chokepoints for zone control.The snowball effect he gains from finishing blows makes incredible versus heroes with weak summons, like Anub'arak.

Combat Trait

(this isn't the actual trait just a clarification)

Unlike other mages who have a very weak ranged auto-attack that is mostly a filler to finish off enemies, Terry comes with a very strong, yet very slow, melee attack. As a mage he is extremely squishy so frequently auto attacking is not advised since you will get yourself in danger to do so, but the fact that your are a mage also means that don't really care about AA damage anyways. Your powerful melee AA is only there as a way to put pressure on ambushers that try to dive you.

MOVE WITH THE EARTH
(This is the actual trait)


Whenever an ally or enemy unit dies near Terry, he gains a 20% move speed increase for 2 seconds. This effect can stack with other move speed bonuses but can't stack with itself.

Shoot Shard of crystal in a straight line that deals 150 damage to the first enemy it hits.If it kills them, the projectile will pierce the tagret gaining 100% increased damage and range.This effect can stack indefenately.

Gravel Blast
Cooldown:8 seconds

Unleash a series of gravel in a cone area in front of you, dealing 320 damage to enemies in the 50% closer area and slowing them by 20% for 1.5 seconds or dealing 160 damage to enemies in the 50% further area and slowing by 20% for 3 seconds.Deals double damage to minions and monsters.

Rising Stalagmite
Cooldown:7 seconds
Mana:40
Deal 31 damage in the tagret area. After 0.5 seconds, an impassable stalagmite with 1300 health will rise from that area.The Rising stalagmite grants vision in an area around it and it can also be damaged by Terry's auto attacks and abilities.Doing so will immedeately kill it.When a Rising stalagmite dies, it also trggers Move with the Earth.There is no limit to the number of Rising Stalagmites that can be active at once.Stores 2 charges.

(The main combo you can do is create a stalagmite then shoot a crystal shard to it thus killing it.In addition to triggering youtr trait this will also give the crystal shard a free 'pierce' and thus double damage and range.It requires great skill but it has pontential to be deadly)

Alter the last basic ability you used.The alteration is different based on the ability:

-Crystal Shard:Redirect it and extend its range by 50%.


-Gravel Blast:Remove its slow from all affected enemies and root them for 0.5 seconds.


-Rising Stalagmite:Relocate it to the target location, dealing 106 damage to enemies it passes through.

Cooldown:80 seconds
Mana:75
Summon 3 Rising Stalagmites in a straight line between you and the target enemy.


Passive:Upon being summoned, Rising Stalagmites root nearby enemies for 0.5 seconds.

LEVEL 1 TALENTS

Playing with the sand(Q):Crystal Shard deals 150% more damage to minions and hero summons.

Feel the Earth(Trait):While Move with the earth is active, Terry's vision radius is increased by 20% and he reveals enemies in it.

Passive:Increase the duration of Move with the Earth by 1 seconds.


Earthen Shield(Passive):Terry gains all of the damage he deals to shields as a shield.Lasts 3 seconds.

Passive:Terry's basic abilities deal 50% more damage to shields

LEVEL 4 TALENTS

Pelting(Q):!Quest:Whenever Crystal shard pierces an enemy, permanentely increase its damage by 2.


Rock Explosion(E):Rising Stalagmites explodes on death dealing 200 damage to nearby enemies and slowing them by 20% for 1.5 seconds.


Earth's Gravity(W):Increases the slow of Gravel Blast to 40% for far away enemies or to 60% for close up enemies.Also increases the radius of gravel Blast by 20%.

LEVEL 7 TALENTS

Crystal Clear(Q):While crystal shard is not on cooldown ,all active crystal shard projectiles deal 25% more damage.

Mining(Q):Whenever Crystal Shard pierces an enemy now it also increases its width by 50%, up to 200% and deals damage in an area around the target.

Child of the Earth(Trait):Terry gains 15% increased spell power while Move with the Earth is active.

LEVEL 10 TALENTS

Part of the Earth(Heroic):Cooldown:1 second
Mana:15

LEVEL 13 TALENTS

Avalance(Passive):Gravel Blast and basic attacks knock enemies back at short distance and deal an additional 120 dmage over 3 seconds.


Earthen Clap(Active):Cooldown:20 seconds
Activate to create 2 paralel earthen hands at the target location.After 0.5 seconds, the hands will clap dealing 50 damage to enemies they hit and push to the center, whre they will they 100 more damage and become stunned for 0.5 seconds.

Rocky Mountain(E):Rising Stalagmites slowing nearby enemies by 30% and deal them 25 damage per seconds

LEVEL 16 TALENTS

Sturdy(Trait):While Move with the Earth is active gain 15 armor.

Welter on the mud(W):Gravel Blast Blinds enemies for 2.25 seconds

Cripling Field(E):Rising Stalagmites Reduce the spell power of nearby enemy heroes by 15%.

LEVEL 20 TALENTS

Rockbiter(Heroic):Part of the Earth has its cooldown reduced by 0.25 seconds.Also, when used to relocate a Rising Stalagmite all enemies damaged by it are slowed by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

Ground Tunneling(Heroic):Whenever Move with the Earth is triggered reduce the cooldown of Mountain Range by 5 seconds.Also Ground Tunneling can be activated to swap terry's positon with the target Rising stalagmite on a 60 second cooldown.

Passive:Rising stalagmite can be cast from a global range.


One with the Earth(Trait):Move with the Earth can stack twice.

One With the Earth also benefits the 'Child of the Earth' and 'Sturdy' talents.
