The Overmind

Lord of the Swarm

The original Lord of the Swarm and terror of the Koprulu Sector. The Overmind was the collective intelligence of the Zerg before it met an untimely end by the sacrifice of Tassadar and the treachery of Kerrigan.

The Overmind is a Specialist champion that takes the place of a team's Core and provides overall battlefield assault, unleashing the terrible power of the Swarm upon the enemy's base. This champion also has the unique ability to control his summons similar to the way they would be controlled on StarCraft.

Combat Trait

Spawn Cerebrate
Create a Zerg Cerebrate at target location. The Cerebrate serves as an origination point for your abilities. If the Cerebrate is destroyed, you must wait 20 seconds before placing a new one, and you lose control of all created minions spawned from this Cerebrate.

While summoned units are within range of a Cerebrate, the Overmind may directly control the movement and targets of the summoned units.

Primary Abilities

Spawn Zerglings
Spawn a group of 6 zerglings at target location. These minions move quickly and deal (X) melee damage and have (Y) hitpoints. The zerglings last (Z) seconds before disappearing.

Spawn Hydralisks
Spawn two hydralisks at target location. These minions have a ranged attack that deals (X) damage and have (Y) hitpoints. Lasts (Z) seconds before disappearing.

Sunken Colony
Create a sunken colony at target location. The sunken colony is an immobile spawn that delivers as powerful ranged attack dealing (X) damage and has (Y) hitpoints. The sunken colony lasts until it is destroyed or runs out of ammo charges.

Colonies built near Cerebrates can replenish ammo. Only 3 sunken colonies may be active on the field at a time.

Heroic Abilities

Heart of the Swarm
The Overmind releases all of its power to create a massive swarm of Zerg forces.

Activate Heart of the Swarm to reduce all cooldowns by 90% and remove summon limit caps for (X) seconds.

Dark Swarm
The Overmind summons millions of teeming Zerg microbes to blanket a target location, obscuring the vision of all enemy units, causing them to be blinded and miss all basic attacks while underneath the effects of the Dark Swarm.

Talents

Don't care to get too into the talents at this point. I would imagine they would allow you to build the Overmind in different ways, whether that is focusing on overwhelming the enemy base with increased spawn rates or more powerful spawns, focus on base defenses with improved sunken colonies or an Overmind powered-up version of Calldown: MULE or talents that allow The Overmind to case buffs on allies like Shield.
