Troggzor

The Earthinator

Current version: 2.6

Troggzor the Earthinator is a bulky melee tank that benefits from enemy spell casts.

Pros:
Extremely dangerous when enemies cast lots of abilities
    Decent peel
Lots of bulk with some sustain
Cons:
    No mobility
    Long base cooldowns
Statistics:
Health: 2,632 (+4% per level)
Regen: 6.10 (+4% per level)
Atk Speed: 0.74 per second
Damage: 189 (+4% per level)

Combat Trait

1
Trogg No Stupid!
Passive:
Troggzor is enraged by the spellcasting of his enemies, reducing his basic and heroic ability cooldowns by 1 second every time an enemy hero casts an ability near him.

Additionally, Troggzor does not use Mana and has 10 base Spell Armor.

Primary Abilities

1
Shattering Smash
Cooldown: 13 seconds

Troggzor smashes a small area in front of him with his club, dealing 205 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies within and reducing their Armor by 5 for 8 seconds. Multiple casts refresh and stack this Armor reduction, up to a maximum reduction of 25 Armor.

The affected area is a small rectangular area in melee range of Troggzor; for reference, if he stood in front of the melee minions of a wave and used it, he'd hit the melee minions but not the mage minion behind them.
2
Seismic Uppercut
Cooldown: 17 seconds

Troggzor smashes the earth, causing a shockwave to head toward a target location that deals 135 (+4% per level) damage per second to enemies along its path, as well as slowing them by 20% for 2 seconds. At the end of Seismic Uppercut's path, stones erupt from the earth, dealing 164 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies within its radius and Stunning them for 1 second.

The shockwave moves and erupts similarly to Anub'arak's Burrow Charge. Additionally, while the shockwave travels, it can damage heroes multiple times, like Ragnaros' Living Meteor.
3
Earthy Fortitude
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Troggzor calls upon the earth to bolster himself, healing for 526 (+4% per level) health over 4 seconds and gaining 20 Armor over the duration.

Multiple casts of Earthy Fortitude cause the duration, but not effects, to stack.

Heroic Abilities

1
Earthen Fury
Cooldown: 100 seconds

Troggzor goes into a rage for 10 seconds. During this time, Troggzor is immune to Roots and Slows, the cooldown reduction of Trogg No Stupid! is increased to 2 seconds, Troggzor pushes enemies aside and deals 23 (+4% per level) damage when he walks into them, and increasing the length of Shattering Smash's area of effect by 1000%.

The cooldown of Earthen Fury does not start until its effect ends.

The pushing aside effect works similar to Chen's Wandering Keg ability. Also, a 1000% range increase might look like a lot but because Shattering Smash's area is so short, this just puts it to the level most ranged spells.
2
Stone Idol
3 Charges
Cooldown: 35 seconds per charge, 2 seconds between casts

Troggzor raises a Stone Idol from a target location. The Stone Idol has 600 (+4% per level) health, lasts for 20 seconds, gives no vision, and blocks units from moving through it. If a Stone Idol is raised under an enemy, they take 49 (+4% per level) damage and are pushed to the side.

Stone Idols project an aura of range 6 around them. Whenever an enemy hero casts an ability in this aura, they receive 1 stack of Petrify, and Trogg No Stupid! activates whether Troggzor is in range of them or not. Petrify lasts for 6 seconds, Slows affected enemies by 5% per stack, and when they reach 5 stacks, all are consumed to Root them for 1.5 seconds.

If a Stone Idol is hit by Shattering Smash, it is instantly destroyed, releasing a shockwave that casts Shattering Smash on all enemies within range. This shockwave can destroy other Stone Idols, repeating this effect.

Talents

Tier 1

Stupid Spell! - Trogg No Stupid! also increases Troggzor's passive Spell Armor to 50 for 3 seconds. This effect has a 10 second cooldown.
Compounding Earth - While Earthy Fortitude is active, Troggzor gains 100 temporary health (works like Muradin's Avatar).
Quest: Collect Regeneration Globes.
Reward: Each Regeneration Globe increases the temporary health gain of Earthy Fortitude by 25.
Reward: Every 25 Regeneration Globes collected also increases Troggzor's passive health regeneration by 6.10.

Rolling Stone -
Quest: For every 60 seconds Troggzor is alive, he receives 1% increased basic attack damage and ability power. Stacks are lost on death.
Reward: For every 5 stacks of Rolling Stone Troggzor has, he receives a checkpoint, causing him to not drop below that many stacks upon dying.

Tier 2

Trogg Get You! - Trogg No Stupid! also grants Troggzor 15% increased movement speed for 2 seconds.
Quaking Rage - The earth around Troggzor quakes, dealing 23 (+4% per level) damage to nearby enemies every 2 seconds. Trogg No Stupid! also activates this effect an extra time independent of the cooldown.
Earthinate the Peasants - Enemy minions hit by Shattering Smash are petrified and sent flying, Stunning them for 3 seconds and dealing 144 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies they pass through.
Rebuild - Earthy Fortitude heals Troggzor for 75% of its total healing right away, but no longer heals over time. The Armor effect still remains.

Tier 3

Trogg Smash! - Shattering Smash also Stuns all enemies hit for 0.5 seconds and knocks them back a short distance. If any affected enemies collide with a wall, increase the Stun to 1 second.
Quicksand - Seismic Uppercut's shockwave leaves quicksand in its path for 5 seconds, slowing enemies by 20% while they remain in it.
Momentum - The damage and Stun of Seismic Uppercut increase based on how far it travels, up to 150% at its maximum range.

Tier 4

Earthen Fury - See above.
Stone Idol - See above.

Tier 5

Very Angry Trogg - When Troggzor is affected by a Root, Stun, or Silence, he becomes Unstoppable for 1.5 seconds and Trogg No Stupid! activates 3 times. This effect has a 60 second cooldown beginning after the Unstoppable duration, which is also reduced by 1 second every time Trogg No Stupid! activates.
Concussion - Shattering Smash also reduces the ability power of affected enemies by 35% for 4 seconds.
Sandstorm - Seismic Uppercut's shockwave now Blinds enemies for 2 seconds instead of slowing them.

Tier 6

*Angry Trogg Noises* - Trogg No Stupid! also activates when Troggzor loses 7.5% of his maximum health within 3 seconds.
Earthshatter - Shattering Smash also deals damage to its targets equal to 2.5% of their maximum health. When hitting an enemy not affected by its Armor reduction, Shattering Smash's Armor reduction and max health damage are increased by 100% (the maximum reduction of 25 Armor remains unchanged).
Enraged Regeneration - While Earthy Fortitude is active, Trogg No Stupid! also heals Troggzor for 2.5% of his maximum health.

Tier 7

Rampage - During Earthen Fury, Trogg No Stupid! also extends Earthen Fury's duration by 0.5 seconds.
Brulfist Idol - Stone Idol's damage when raised under an enemy is increased to 249 (+4% per level), and it knocks Troggzor and enemies back a more significant distance (about half of Junkrat's Concussion Mine).
Deepholme Durability - Trogg No Stupid! also makes Troggzor Unkillable for 2 seconds.
Bashing Time! - After casting an ability, increase Troggzor's basic attack speed by 60% for 3 seconds.

Needs more Trogdor references.

I thought this concept was just about done because I was happy with the kit and talents, but now I must fulfill this request!
Thanks for the comment, and maybe I'll do a bit of renaming and stuff to give it more Trogdor flavor. I was mostly just working off of the idea of a trogg in the first place so I missed that opportunity :P

really like the concept but I have some issues.I saw that you have many talents that,on a cooldown, grants stronger effects like unstoppable when his trait activates. While it is a great idea on paper enemies will justcast a minor ability near you to trigger them then initiate practically making them useless.I suggest you make it so that he can toggle his trait on and off by pressing D.That way he gets to control when to spend his important cooldowns.Aslo i have some issues with his Earth Shatter talent at lvl 16.It seems like a downgrade to me.You already has enough CDR to consistantly stack up the armor reduction so getting that 10 armor instantly without stacking seems pointless.I don't have a suggestion for of the top of my head but it defenately needs tweaking(actually now that i think about just raise it to 15 instant armor reduction and it will be fine).

That's all that I could find in general this is one of the better concept I've seen balance wise.really like it. :)

Thanks for the comment!
When I was making the Stupid Spell! and Very Angry Trogg talents, I actually had in mind that enemies could just cast a minor ability to "waste" the cooldown. The idea was supposed to be that they had lower cooldowns/stronger effects than similar talents to make up for the potential for counterplay. For example, Garrosh's Indomitable talent grants him 1.5 seconds of Unstoppable on demand and has a 40 second cooldown, while Very Angry Trogg grants Troggzor 2.5 seconds of Unstoppable that he can't control the activation of but only has a 25 second cooldown. Still, I'll look at ways to make those talents more reliable.
As for Earthshatter, the reduced cap is also supposed to be compensated by a 50% damage increase to Shattering Smash. If it still seems like a downgrade with that I can up the Armor reduction to 15.
I appreciate the suggestions, and I'm glad you like the concept!

This is an amazing concept, I love everything from presentation to kit.
I do think Earthen Fury is too... redundant? With his kit though. What if he got some offensive power besides the increased CDR with the skill? Maybe instead of even more healing or armor he could get some attack damage, attack speed, or immunity to slows to let him move around easier. Fits the image of a hulking Trogg stomping through attempts at slowing him down.

Thanks for the comment!
After looking at Earthen Fury again, I see what you mean. Originally I thought it'd be nice to have him be semi-indestructible for 10 seconds, but that is kind of repetitive with Earthy Fortitude. I'll look at remaking it to give him some more mobility and offensive capability, maybe letting him push enemies out of the way by walking into them or something like that.

That would be so flavorful, love the idea. Though now that you mention it, Dehaka does have Trait regen + Adaptation. Maybe make it more focused vs spells? Like heal whenever his trait procs? Just throwing ideas because I like the concept so much.
