Ulrezaj

The Dark Archon

Ulrezaj is a protoss Dark Archon formed from seven Dark Templar. He is named after their most powerful personality. He led a group of Dark Templar who still resented their exile from Aiur and demanded that the Khalai refugees be removed from Shakuras or be exterminated.

Combat Trait

Dark Thrist
Ulrezaj cannot basic attack but instead has a modified burning rage by default (20+10 per level, extends 4 meters from Ulrezaj, proc's every 1 second), dealing damage to enemies, mercs and structures around him. Every second Dark Thirst is dealing damage Ulrezaj gains 8 points of Dark Life (up to a maximum of 100). After 8 seconds of not being in combat Ulrezaj begins losing 1 point of Dark Life every second and if he is at 0 Dark Life, health and shield regeneration stop, he cannot be healed and he loses 5 points of health every second. Can be toggled on or off.

Void Shield
Ulrezaj's Shield cannot be healed by hero abilities or restored by Wells. Any Hero Ability that grants a shield will not give Ulrezaj an additional shield, instead it will restore a portion of Ulrezaj's maximum shield

Psionic Bolt
Cooldown 8 seconds ­ 

Cost 30 Dark life ­ 

(Skill Shot) Fire a ball of dark energy that deals 75+30 per level damage to everything in its path. After .75 seconds, the path in which the bolt traveled explodes again burning 8% max enemy mana or resource and returning a portion of that damage to Ulrezaj's shield.

Cooldown 20 seconds ­ 

Cost 15 Dark Life ­ 

Cast a dark aura on an enemy hero. Whenever that hero uses an ability they take 10% of their life in damage. Last 5 seconds.

Void Walker
Cool down 9 seconds ­ 

Cost 20 Dark Life ­ 

Become intangible and quickly move to a nearby targeted location. You deal 5%+0.25% per level damage to enemy mana or resource if you pass through them, or give a 75+15 per level shield to any ally you pass through. The shield last 5 seconds.

Maelstrom
Cool down 100 seconds ­ 

Cost 50 Dark Life ­ 

Lay of field of energy over a wide area, after a 1.5 second delay, anything caught in the area is frozen in time for 2 seconds. After Maelstrom ends, structures caught in the AOE are disabled for 6 seconds.

Mind Control
Cool down 90 seconds ­ 

Cost 30 Dark Life ­ 

(Long Range) Channel on an Enemy, after 5 seconds gain control of that target. You lose control of Ulrezaj and he becomes stationary and loses his shield. Control of Heroes and Bosses last 6 seconds, Control of minions and Mercs last 12 seconds. After mind control ends, minions, Mercs or Bosses return to the enemy team. Mind control can be ended prematurely by Ulrezaj himself, or if he is killed. Minions or Mercs can be detonated while under the effects of mind control and deal 200+40 in an AOE. Taking control of a Minion sets the cool down to 25 seconds, taking control of the Merc sets it to 45 seconds. Must have vision of the target, if vision is lost or broken during the channel Mind Control's cool down is set to 30 seconds.

Void Leech
Ulzeraj does not mount, but instead Consumes 3 Dark life per second to move 60% faster. Last 5 seconds, 30 second cool down. Must still complete mount animation before speed boost takes effect. 

Talents

Level 1:

 
Sunder: ­ Your Dark thirst deals 20% increased damage
 
Dark Pack: Your basic abilities consume 40% less Dark Life
 
Psionic Bomb: Psionic Bolt now explodes at the end of its flight path slowing targets by 60% decaying over 2.5 seconds.
 
Shield Bearer: Gathering Regan orbs increases Shield regeneration by 1.5 for every orb gathered.
 
Psionic Fire: Psionic Bolt Destroys up to 3 tower ammo depending on the distance traveled and restores 10 dark life for each ammo destroyed. (The further the bolt travels the more ammo
destroyed)
 
Level 4:

Backlash: When feedback ends, the target is stunned for 1 second.
 
Force Shield: The shield Void Walker grants allies also increases their basic attack damage by 20% for the duration of the shield.
 
Wailing energy: Psionic Bolts range and width are increased by 20%.
 
Burning Hunger: Your Dark Thirst now burns 1% of enemy mana or resource and does 50% increased damage to structures.
 
Level 7:
 
Psionic Trap: Feedback can now be cast on structures. When a when a Tower, Fort or Keep attempts to fire the ammo explodes inside of it, dealing damage to itself and those around it.
 
Psionic Counter: Block up to 2 enemy basic attacks. Whenever an attack is blocked the attacking enemy is stunned for 1 second. Each Charge has a 45 second internal cooldown.
 
From the Void: Void Walker Summons a Psionic ball of energy that circles Ulzeraj for 4 seconds. Each time a foe struck by the Ball they have %5+0.25% per level of mana or resourced burned and returned to Ulzeraj to restore his shield.
 
Consume Energy: Activate to consume a targeted enemy's shield and refill Ulzeraj's shield by an equal amount. Can only consume up to 1200 shield. (30 second Cooldown)

Unstable Energy: Whenever you are struck for more than 15% of your maximum shield in damage, your shield regeneration is increased by 300% for 3 seconds. (30 second internal cool down)
 
Gathering Carnage: Every 30 seconds, Your Dark Thirst Damage deals a critical hit in its AOE. This cool down is reduced by 1 second for every tick of damage Dark Thirst does in its AOE.
 
Shrink Ray: Reduce a heroes attack and movement speed by 50%.
 
Feedback Loop: Activate Feed back again to end it prematurely and reduce its cool down by 8
seconds.
 
Level 16:
 
Call of the Mind: Psionic Bolt now holds 2 Charges
 
Call of the Void: Void Walker now holds 2 Charges
 
Burning Storm: Activate and consume 30 Dark Life, Dark Thirst now ticks for damage every 0.5 seconds instead of every 1 second. Last 8 seconds. 30 second cooldown
 
Void Pylon: Summon a Void Pylon at a nearby Location. While standing in the Pylons AOE Ulzeraj has 75% increased shield regeneration rate and allies gain 15+2 per level shield every second. Last 8 seconds. The Pylon has 50+20 Health per level. 45 second cooldown. Last 10 seconds. 
 
Level 20:
 
Hunger of Time: Foes caught in Maelstroms AOE have their basic ability cool downs reset to max and are stripped of their shields and a portion of that is returned to Ulzeraj’s shield. Additionally, Block, Imposing presence, follow through and any other passive talents are nullified for 10 seconds. 
 
Mind Sickness: Enemy heroes that suffered from Mind wrack suffer from 50% reduced healing and have their cool downs increased by 25%. This effect last until the effected Heroes death or Ulzeraj's death. Mind Wracks cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds.
 
Void Frenzy: Whenever Dark Thirst hits for critical damage the enemy is stunned for 1 second and made vulnerable for 3

Void Purge: Upon Ulzeraj's shield being destroy by an enemy hero, he explodes and a wave of force is sent out in all directions knocking all foes back and dealing 150+10 per level damage to any foe it hit. 

Playstyle

In heroes, Ulrezaj plays as a powerful Hybrid of Tank and Speacialist. He has a single direct damage ability in Psionic bolt that does a very good amount of damage but has a very high cost as a tradeoff, so dont look for Ulrezaj to be your primary source of damage though he can harass and threaten with this skill simply do to its high damage. His shield cannot be restored by standard healing but has among the highest regeneration rates in the game and at level 20 will net 125 regeneration per second without any additional talents, on top of this, many of Ulrezaj skills and talents serve to restore his shield. This means the only time Ulrezaj will ever retreat to base is on his death and to defend. This is good because Ulrezaj must remain in the fight to satisfy his Dark Thirst which damages anything around him passively and grants him Dark Life which he then uses to power his skills. If his Dark Life is empty, then Ulrezaj will began taking damage. He is, for lack of a better term, a Space Vampire in Heroes, feeding off destruction to destroy even more.
