The Shadow Hunter


Vol'jin is a versatile melee warrior, who uses spears and bare fists to strike his enemies. He uses rage for his abilities, except for his spears, which is resourceless - with a number of stacks available. He gains rage by hitting someone with an autoattack or a Q and by getting damaged.

Combat Trait

Masta o' stickz
Vol'jin is the master of javelins. He can switch between three kind of spears:

- The spear of snakes: spears poison target for a brief duration.
- The spear of hunt: landed spears grant Vol'jin movement speed.
- The spear of rivers: landed spears slows Vol'jin's target.

Primary Abilities

Q: Hunter's spear
(1 second global cooldown) 7 stacks

Vol'jin has a number of javelins in his backpack, that he can draw and throw with immense speed.
It's an aiming ability (a skillshot), which can either land on the ground, when misses (which Vol'jin can pick up); or get stuck in the target.
The struck spear(s, all of them) can be ripped out with his E.

Fathers' guidance
(8 seconds cooldown) 50 rage

Vol'jin calls for his ancestors' power, granting him a lighting bubble-shield. The shield stops a bit of damage, and when it is hit down or the effect ends, it strikes for a last shockwave, slowing enemies in an area.

Wild ravage
(8 seconds cooldown) 50 rage

Vol'jin jumps on a target (point and click), ripping out spears. After the jump, the target will start to bleed if there was any spear struck(its strength is not dependant on the ammount of spears).

Heroic Abilities

Tornado of javelins
(80 seconds cooldown) 50 rage

Vol'jin uses dark magics to summon ghost javelins. He triples the ammount of ammo he has on his Q and starts throwing them around him clockwise. The spears work the exact same way as his Q, and he will lose all his ammo on his Q as well. (He can pick the spears up later, however, the cloned spears will start fading [they will fade even if they are picked up]).

(60 seconds cooldown) 50 rage

Vol'jin jumps on a target, supressing it briefly. If the target stays in range after the crowd control effect, they will take additional damage.

Level 1 talents

- Basic attacks and spears heal Vol'jin for 2,5% of his health.

- Spear of snakes can stack poison.

- Spear of hunt grants extra speed after a takedown for 5 seconds.

- Spear of river spears can stack up to 5 to root the target.

Level 4 talents

- Focused attack. "Every 10 seconds, your next Basic Attack deals 75% additional damage. Basic Attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second."

- Wild ravage cooldown resets on minion kills and takedowns.

- Father's guidance's shield explosion damages and slows.

Level 7 talents

- Increased damage on snakes poison.

- Increased movement speed from spear of the hunt.

- More slow on spear of rivers.

Level 10 talents

- Tornado of javelings

Level 13 talents

- Relentless. "Reduces the duration of silences, stuns, slows, roots, and polymorphs against your Hero by 50% ."

- Wild ravege's bleed combo also slows.

- Two more spears stacks on Q.

Level 16 talents

- If Vol'jin hits a single target three times in a row consecutively, his fourth spear will grant bonus effect (choose from the three below):

   - Snake: Vol'jin heals 10% of the damage over time from the posion for 5 seconds. (8 seconds cooldown).

   - Hunt: Every fourth hunt spear will always strike critically for 175% damage.

   - River: Every fourth river spear will grant Vol'jin a small shield.

Level 20 talents

- R1: Empowered rampage: more damage, more stunn, less cooldown.

- R2: Vol'jin makes more cloned spears, they fade slower.

- Hardened shield. "Cooldown: 60 secondsActivate to reduce damage taken by -24% for 4 seconds."

- Bolt of the storm. "Cooldown: 40 seconds Activate to teleport to a nearby location."
