Xe'ra

The Prime Naaru

Background

The naaru are holy beings made born and made of pure light that represent the most holy of beings in the world. They have a connection to the Draenei as they are served by them and seen as very holy.

Xe'ra is a prime naaru, which means she was one of the first naaru to be forged during the great ordering of the cosmos.


Playstyle

Xe'ra is a fragile hero that can do many different things depending on her talent choices. From Healing to Pushing. It's a more "healer" version of Abathur that is also able to push well.

Combat Trait

(Trait) Radiance
Whenever Xe'ra damages an enemy hero with an ability, she grants all allied heroes near the target a shield that absorbs 20% of the damage dealt. The shield lasts for up to 7 seconds.

(The shield can stack and absorb up to 300(+6% per level) damage.)

Primary Abilities

(Q) Brilliant Stand
Cooldown: 5 seconds.

Xe'ra locks herself in place and becomes a beacon of light, gaining access to new abilities and increasing her vision range by 50% and can see over obstacles but also revealing herself to the enemy team.

(Crowd Control effects will NOT cancel this.)

(W) Light's Revelation
Cooldown: 20 Seconds.

Radius: 5

Shine down light at the targeted location indefinetly, or until you change the position of this ability. The area is revealed to Xe'ra and her allies. Ally and enemy Heroes inside of the area can not be slowed nor have their movement speed increased.

(Light's Revelation is circle shaped.)
(Players have a set 100% movement speed inside the area)

Fire a bolt in an arc shape that deals 85(+6% per level) damage to enemies and heals ally heroes for 90 (+6% per level) health on impact.

Cooldown: 21 Seconds.

Range: 45


After 1 second, infuse an allied hero with light and wisdom for 5 seconds. While blessed, they have their vision range increased by 50% and have 35% increased spellpower.

(E) Squelch Darkness
Cooldown: 14 Seconds.

Range: 45

Radius: 3


Create a mark at the targeted location that activates after 2.5 seconds, dealing 100(+6% per level) damage to all enemies and slowing them for 3 seconds by 30% on hit.

(R1) Ata'mal Cage
Cooldown: 90 Seconds.

Range: 9(Out of Brilliant Stand) 45(In Brilliant Stand)

Radius: 3

Summon a circle of crystals at the targeted area that appear 1.5 seconds after activation. Enemies can not move, dash or be pulled neither in or out of the cage. But allies may move freely in and out. The cage lasts for 2.5 seconds.

(The only way for enemies to leave the area is to teleport out of it. (e.g. Teleport or Blink Heal)

Cooldown: 70 Seconds.

Radius: 7


Bless all allied minions in a large area with holy light for 15 seconds. Increasing their movementspeed by 15%, their attack speed and damage by 50% and they are healed for 25(+6% per level) health every 1 Second.

Special Mount

Xe'ra does not have access to any form of mount or mobility tool.


She floats, that's all.


Level 16 Talent

(Z) Light Jump


Cooldown: 45 Seconds.
Range: 100


After 1.5 Seconds, teleport to a visible location. If you jump to an area affected by Light's Revelation, the cooldown of Light Jump is set to 5 Seconds.

Tier 1 (Level 1)


(Trait) Protracted Protection


Radiance shield duration is doubled.

(Passive/W1) Gaze


Increase your vision range by 50% and Light's Revelation Radius by 100%.

(W1) Eternal Observation


If an enemy Hero dies within the area of Light's Revelation, that area is permanently revelealed.

(If an enemy Hero dies within Light's revelation it becomes permanent. If you switch location of your Light's revelation, that area will continue to be revealed for the rest of the match.)

(Stacks up indefinitely)

(W1) Eternal Presence


Enemies that die within Light's revelation grant Experience.

(She soaks EXP from enemies that die within it's radius.)

Tier 2 (Level 4)


(Q2) Stream of Hope

Quest: Heal allied heroes with Dazzling Light.
Reward: After healing allied heroes 25 times, increase Dazzling Light's healing by 10%.
Reward: After healing allied heroes 75 times, increase Dazzling Light's healing by another 20%.

(Total of 30% healing increase.)

(Q2) Punishing Light

Quest: Hit enemy heroes with Dazzling Light.
Reward: After hitting enemy heroes 10 times, increase Dazzling Light's damage by 10%.
Reward: After hitting enemy heroes 30 times, increase Dazzling Light's damage by another 15%.

(Total of 25% damage increase.)

(Q2) Light Nova


Dazzling light's radius is increased by 60%, but it's cooldown is increased by 1 second.


Tier 3 (Level 7)



(Trait) Potent Light


Quest: Absorbing 150 damage with Radiance increases Damage-to-Shield conversion by +1%. (Up to 40%.)
Reward: After gaining 40% extra Damage-to-Shield conversion, gain +20% extra Damage-to-Shield conversion.

(60% Damage-to-Shield conversion when quest is completed)

(Q1) Hidden Whereabouts


Brilliant Stand no longer reveals your location.

(Q2/W2) Self-Inspiring


When Xe'ra casts Incandescent, her next Dazzling Light damage and healing is increased by 100%.


Tier 4 (Level 10)



(Q1) Ata'mal Cage


Cooldown: 90 Seconds.

Casting Incandescent grants the target 50% increased movement speed that decays over 5 seconds.

(E2) Forceful Persuasion


Enemies hit by Squelch Darkness are pulled to the middle and slowed for 3 seconds by 50%.

(E2) Shimmering Repulsion


Squlech Darkness now explodes after 1 second and also pushes all enemies away from the center of the impact by a fixed amount.

(An enemy that would hit at the edge of the area is pushed the same distance as an enemy in the middle of the impact)


Tier 6 (Level 16)



(1) Xe'ras Protection


Cooldown: 90 Seconds.

Xe'ra shields the targeted ally, absorbing up to 500(+6& per level) damage for 5 seconds. If the shield isn't destroyed before it expires, half of the cooldown is refunded.

(W2) Prolonged Strength



If an allied hero gets a takedown while affected by Incandescent, heal them for 40% of their missing health and mana and refresh the duration of Incandescent.

(Z) Light Jump


Cooldown: 45 Seconds.
Range: Global


After 1.5 Seconds, teleport to a visible location. If you teleport to an area affected by Light's Revelation, the cooldown of Light Jump is set to 5 Seconds.


Tier 7 (Level 20)



(R1) Enchanted Stones


Increase the duration of Ata'mal Cage to 5 Seconds and enemies inside take 40(+6% per level) damage every 0.5 Seconds.

(R2) Lightforge


Increase the duration of Hope of Xe'ra by 50% and increase the effects by 100%.

(30% movement speed, 100% increased attack speed, 100% increased damage and heal for 50(+6% per level) every 1 Second.)

(Q) Blasting Repetition


When you hit an enemy Hero with Dazzling Light reduce the cooldown of Dazzling Light by 1 Second for 7 Seconds. This stacks up to 3 times.

Permanently increase the cooldown of Dazzling Light by 1 second.

OR

Each enemy hit by Dazzling Light reduces the cooldown of Dazzling Light by 1 Second per enemy hero hit.

Permanently increase the cooldown of Dazzling Light by 2 second.

(2) Sanctify


Cooldown: 155 Seconds.

Grant all structures and minions 50 Armor for 10 seconds, reducing damage taken by 50%.

(Including the Core)

OLD VERSION


Cooldown: 180 Seconds.

Channel for up to 10 seconds, making all allied structures are invulnerable but also lowering your Armor by 100 and for 10 seconds afterwards, increasing all damage taken by 100%.

As always, a solid concept :D I think it's a good sign when it's a struggle to decide which talents I would take.
I must say, however, I almost started laughing when I read:

Sanctify talent can be OP if used in the altar. Potent Light is overperforming at tier 3.

Changed how Sanctify works, maybe cooldown is a bit to high. Now also grants for some more offensive uses because of the minion buff. Making it work well with Hope of Xe'ra, maybe too well...

Made Potent Light weaker in the early game so it scales up to the late game instead. I don't know if that solves the problem for it being a good tier 3 pick, but it makes it as strong late game, just a lot weaker early game.

I like this. Abathur-esque healer who synergises with mages. Maybe you should give her Brightwing's teleport as mount.

That could work, but I feel like I don't want her to have a replica of Abathurs or Brightwings mount. Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe something in that sense tho.

you could do it to interact with allied forts or with Revelation's area

Her trait working in such proximity (both the cdr and heart) sounds a bit unintuitive. Either she is a sentry to be near a fight or, she has that massive range (60 is a ****ton, almost 10 jimmies). Other than that, another gimmicky support is always welcome
