Yogg-Saron

The Old God of Death

Yogg-Saron, the Lucid Dream, the Monster in your Nightmares, the Fiend of a Thousand Faces. He goes by many names, but his influence can be felt across Azeroth, even while imprisoned within the titan complex of Ulduar. Yogg-Saron is one of the four Old Gods of Azeroth, terrifying powerful beings that seek to bring the world itself back to its primordial state, either destroying anything that stands in their way or warping them in their own cursed image.

And now, the Old God's Influence has found its way into the Nexus, and he seeks to bring yet another world under his will.

STATS

Yogg-Saron is a fearsome specialist who excels at locking down positions of a map, all while being capable of turning his enemies against one another. With a high base health, a huge mana pool and a reasonable amount of range, the Old God is a force to be reckoned with. However, this amazing power comes at a price, as Yogg-Saron is a character that is unable to move freely throughout the map. Yogg-Saron must manually teleport in order to set himself up for a team fight. This design for Yogg-Saron is specifically designed to counter melee-focused comps and reckless dive heroes, but will struggle greatly against poke and sustained ranged damage.

Combat Trait

1
Whispers of the Old Gods
COMBAT TRAIT

A stacking ability that Yogg-Saron can inflict on enemy heroes. As Yogg deals damage to heroes with basic attacks and/or abilities, Insanity will begin to stack on the targeted enemy, stacking up to 75. As enemy heroes are inflicted with Insanity, their field of view will slowly start to diminish and will experience distracting effects that will impede their ability to play. Insanity will slowly start to reset if Yogg doesn’t attack the targeted hero for more than 2 seconds, and the higher the stack is, the slower it will drain. Once an enemy reaches the maximum stack of 75, the enemy will become an agent of the Old Gods for 5 seconds, turning on their allies and dealing damage to them via basic attacks.

Primary Abilities

1
Crusher Tentacle
Mana: 60
Cooldown: 10 sec

Yogg-Saron will summon forth a massive tentacle in a target area, which will root any enemy it comes into contact with. The Root lasts for 6 seconds, but the tentacle can be destroyed by teammates in order to help them escape quicker. The rooted enemy will take Insanity damage as long as they're rooted.
2
Agent of Chaos
Mana: 75
Cooldown: 19 sec

Yogg-Saron will place a beacon on the field in front of him, the beacon covering a certain area. If the opponent enters this area, they will begin to take rapid damage on top of taking massive amounts of Insanity damage. The beacon lasts for 10 seconds before it disappears.
3
Wailing Madness
Mana: 100
Cooldown: 22 sec

Yogg-Saron will emit a wave of energy around himself, causing anyone caught in the attack to be marked for 5 seconds. The mark applied by Wailing Madness will double the amount of Insanity the enemy hero takes from attacks, allowing for Yogg to more effectively max out his trait. Yogg can pick talents to increase the radius and/or mark timer.

Heroic Abilities

1
Old God's Influence
Mana: 130
Cooldown: 95 sec

Yogg-Saron's Saronite Veins will extend far beyond his initial position, covering a massive area around himself. These veins will not deal immediate damage, but will instead deal Insanity stacks. However, if any enemy is to reach max levels of Insanity while standing in the saronite veins, they will begin to rapidly take Damage over Time. The veins last for 10 seconds before they receed back to Yogg-Saron.
2
Descent Into Madness
Mana: 150
Cooldown: 70 sec

Yogg-Saron will empower himself, summoning forth an extra set of tentacles that will increase his basic attack damage by 100% and allowing them to slow his enemies. On top of this, Yogg-Saron will also receive 25% more health and 25% more attack range. The extra damage can also be stacked with wailing madness so Yogg-Saron can double his insanity building abilities. This empowered state lasts for a total of 10 seconds before Yogg-Saron reverts back to normal.

Special Mount

1
Saronite Vein
Cooldown: 20 sec

Yogg-Saron is incapable of moving normally, so this is Yogg's means of moving around the battlefield. Yogg-Saron will force Saronite to pour out of a vein in the ground, all before disappearing and appearing in the target location. Yogg-Saron is vulnerable while teleporting, but is unstoppable upon re-emerging.

Talent Examples

(Q) Unbreakable Grip

Quest: Root Enemy Heroes for a total of 60 seconds.Reward: After reaching a total of 60 seconds, the health of the tentacles is tripled and root is increased by an additional 2 seconds.

(W) Symbol of Chaos

: Radius of Agent of Chaos increases by 2% per second

Destroyer of Worlds

: All damage to minions/mercs/etc. is increased by 30%, but Yogg-Saron loses 20% of his damage towards enemy heroes.

Shriek of the Damned

: Wailing Madness range increased, mark duration reduced by 1 second.

The Curse of Flesh

: (Activate Ability) Corrupt an enemy player, reducing their armor by 30% for 5 seconds (30 second cooldown)

Hope's End

: (Passive) Corrupting Enemy Heroes gives Yogg-Saron Spell armor against the affected hero. Gains 1% spell armor for every 2 Insanity Yogg-Saron has stacked on the enemy.

Nowhere is Safe

: Constrictor Tentacle can now be used on enemy buildings, forcing them against their own team for 3 seconds. Cooldown of Constrictor Tentacle is increased by 5 seconds.

Less HP; 2000 is good, so the late game scaling isn't obnoxious and during the early game learning phase, he can hide under the tower because of his range, less HP make ranged assassins "usable".

More max stacks before inducing insanity, 60 would be a better number in my opinion, so his E wouldn't be overpowered on tight objectives.

His Q and the quest, Or his Q duration should be reduced, 8 seconds is VERY long, or his quest should be harder to get.

But for the rest, I love this concept, very intriguing.
