Zen'kiki

Zen'kiki is a melee tank who brings the versatility of druid magic to his team, protecting key allies while providing disruption and pressure in the center of combat. However, he can't quite get most of the spells right...

Pros:
    Provides heavy disruption and pressure in the center of battle
    Offers extra protection to key allies
    Generally durable and hard to get rid of
    Versatile talent builds
Cons:
    Abilities are double-sided, immobilizing and damaging Zen'kiki
    Long basic ability cooldowns with high Mana costs
    Trait forces Zen'kiki to choose between aggression and value

Cycle of Nature
Passive:
Zen'kiki's lack of focus and expertise causes his basic abilities to have long cooldowns and cost a lot of Mana. However, if he manages to attune himself with nature and focus, he can mitigate this. Zen'kiki has a passive timer that ticks every 4 seconds; if he casts a basic ability within a small time of the timer ticking, he is refunded 25 Mana and the ability's cooldown is reduced by 4 seconds.

Primary Abilities

Mighty Shapeshift
Cooldown: 16 seconds
Cost: 80 Mana

Zen'kiki attempts to transform into a mighty bear and charge in a target direction, but instead transforms into an aquatic sea lion and flops forward, dealing 88 (+4% per level) damage to enemies in his path and knocking them to the side.

Zen'kiki remains in sea lion form for 8 seconds. During this time, he cannot move or use basic attacks, his size is increased significantly, he gains 25 Armor, and his basic abilities are replaced by Flop and Flail.

Symbiosis
Cooldown: 11 seconds
Cost: 55 Mana

Zen'kiki links himself to an allied hero for up to 7 seconds. While Zen'kiki remains close enough to the bonded target, 15% of all damage they takes is redirected to Zen'kiki. Additionally, whenever the bonded ally deals damage, Zen'kiki is healed for 15% of the damage dealt, and whenever the bonded ally restores Health to someone, Zen'kiki is healed for an extra 15% of the Health restored.

Symbiosis can be self cast, allowing Zen'kiki to heal himself for part of his damage but negating the damage redirection.

Insect Swarm
Cooldown: 18 seconds
Cost: 65 Mana

Zen'kiki transforms into a moonkin for 0.75 seconds to unleash a swarm of insects on his enemies, during which time he is Unstoppable and cannot perform any other actions besides walking. After this time, he accidentally unleashes the swarm on himself, surrounding himself with angry insects for 10 seconds and taking 256 (+4% per level) damage over the duration.

While Zen'kiki is affected by Insect Swarm, any enemies that come near him will also be swarmed, taking 256 (+4% per level) damage over 5 seconds. This effect is continually refreshed while they remain near Zen'kiki.

The area of effect around Zen'kiki for spreading Insect Swarm is based on his hitbox size. This means that it is increased during sea lion form and bear form, since he becomes larger.

Zen'kiki flops a short distance in a target direction, pushing enemies out of his way and dealing 19 (+4% per level) damage to them.

Zen'kiki flails around helplessly, dealing 54 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies around him and Stunning them for 0.5 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Tenacious Shapeshift
Cooldown: 65 seconds
Cost: 80 Mana

Zen'kiki successfully transforms into a mighty bear, Taunting all enemy heroes in a 180 degree arc in front of him for 0.75 seconds. Zen'kiki remains in bear form for 2.5 seconds afterward, increasing his size significantly and granting him 50 Armor and Unstoppable. He must remain stationary as he attacks in a shorter arc in front of him every 0.5 seconds, dealing 101 (+4% per level) damage to enemies within.

Wild Shapeshift
Cooldown: 65 seconds
Cost: 80 Mana

Zen'kiki transforms into a fearsome tiger for 4.5 seconds to strike at his enemies. When cast, Zen'kiki must select a location to jump to, dealing 88 (+4% per level) damage to enemies he lands on and Stunning them for 0.25 seconds. This effect is repeated every 0.75 seconds for a total of 6 more times, jumping a fixed distance to a target location. If Zen'kiki fails to select the next location to jump to within this time, a random location is chosen. Zen'kiki is Unstoppable while jumping.

Zen'kiki always jumps at the 0.75 second intervals, and Zen'kiki selects the next location to jump to by right clicking. After the initial jump, every following jump is required to be a fixed distance away from Zen'kiki, about equal to the cast range of Xul's Spectral Scythe. The damage area of effect is about equal to Jaina's Blizzard.

Talents

Tier 1


Ysera's Gift - Every time Cycle of Nature ticks, the lowest Health allied hero near Zen'kiki has 88 (+4% per level) Health restored to them.
Wild Strike - If Zen'kiki basic attacks on Cycle of Nature's tick, his basic attack deals 50% more damage and restores 40 Mana.
Primal Instinct - If either Flop or Flail are cast on Cycle of Nature's tick, they also Slow the movement speed of all affected enemies by 30%, decaying over 3 seconds.

Tier 2


Nature's Mercy - Symbiosis redirects more damage based on how low the bonded ally's Health is, up to 50% damage redirected at 10% remaining Health.
Cenarion Ward - When the target of Symbiosis takes a total of 400 (+4% per level) damage (counted before redirection), a pulse of healing magic restores 250 (+4% per level) Health to them and all nearby allies over 2.5 seconds. Can only occur once per hero per cooldown of Symbiosis.
Painful Stinging - Insect Swarm decreases the damage that enemies affected by it deal, starting at 5% and increasing by 2.5% every second, up to a maximum of 25%.

Tier 3


Impressive Bulk - If Mighty Shapeshift is cast on Cycle of Nature's tick, its initial cast also Stuns affected enemies for 1.25 seconds.
Flippers of Fury - If Flail hits at least one enemy hero, it also resets the cooldown of Flop.
Leader of the Pack - While Symbiosis is active, both Zen'kiki and the bonded ally receive 10% increased movement speed and Ability Power.

Tier 5


Praise the Sun - If no ability is cast on Cycle of Nature's tick, a random enemy within a medium range of Zen'kiki (prioritizing heroes) will be struck by Sunfire, being Blinded for 0.75 seconds and taking 105 (+4% per level) damage over 1.5 seconds.
Aquatic Rage - Each time Zen'kiki applies displacement or crowd control to an enemy during Mighty Shapeshift, he receives 5% increased Ability Power, stacking until the transformation ends.
Lunar Inspiration - If Insect Swarm is cast on Cycle of Nature's tick, Zen'kiki will also accidentally cast Moonfire on himself, dealing an extra 105 (+4% per level) damage to himself over 5 seconds and 200% of that to nearby enemies. While affected by Moonfire, if Zen'kiki basic attacks on Cycle of Nature's tick, the effect is refreshed.

Tier 6


Guardian of Nature - Symbiosis also redirects 1 hard crowd control effect from the bonded ally to Zen'kiki. Can only occur once per hero per cooldown of Symbiosis.
Solar Wrath - If Symbiosis is cast on Cycle of Nature's tick, Zen'kiki and the bonded ally have their first 3 basic attacks during its duration imbued with Solar Wrath, dealing 51 (+4% per level) extra ability damage.
Obnoxious Buzzing - When Insect Swarm is applied to an enemy, they are Silenced for 1.25 seconds. Each enemy can only be Silenced once per cast of Insect Swarm.

Tier 7


Bear Minimum - If Tenacious Shapeshift fails to damage any single enemy hero more than 1 time, reduce its cooldown by 45 seconds.
Wild Spirit - Every time Wild Shapeshift hits at least one enemy hero, one more jump is added to its duration. After 4.5 seconds, there are 0.5 seconds between jumps. After 9 seconds, there are 0.25 seconds between jumps.
Master Shapeshifter - Zen'kiki can now use the (E) key during Mighty Shapeshift to cancel its effects early. Every time Flop or Flail damages an enemy hero, the duration of Mighty Shapeshift is extended by 0.5 seconds.
Circle of Life - Symbiosis now has 3 charges that cost 25 Mana each and refresh at the same time. Its duration is reduced to 3 seconds, but multiple casts on the same target stack duration.
