Zunimassa the spirit walker

A ranged assassin who uses the power of the spirit realm to punish those who stand in her way.

Combat Trait

1
Spirit Barrage
Rather than basic attacks, Zunimassa channels Spirit Barrage, launching spirit bolts at the target until canceled, if the target consecutively is hit with 4 bolts within 10 seconds the target takes 4% of max hp as bonus damage.





(For those unfamiliar with diablo 3, the spirit barrage has a fairly fast attack rate, for this mechanic the spirit bolts would be a projectile that will aim at the ground the target was standing on rather than follow the target when they move, so you will have to lead your casts on moving targets)

Primary Abilities

Haunt
Haunt an enemy with a spirit, dealing moderate damage over time, if an enemy dies while haunted the spirits jump to a nearby enemy hero.

Lasts 8 seconds. 15 second cooldown.

Locust Swarm
Unleash a plague of locusts in a conal aoe in front of you, dealing damage over time for 10 seconds and slowing the enemy for 20% movement and attack speed for 2 seconds.

10 second cooldown.

Spirit Walk
Leave your physical body and enter the spirit realm for 2 seconds. While in the spirit realm, your movement is unhindered.
Zunimassa takes gains physical immunity for duration.

20 second cooldown.

Heroic Abilities

Piranhado
Unleash a pool of piranhas that pull enemy heroes into the center each second and dealing damage.
Lasts 3 seconds 60 second cooldown.

Fear all enemies in an aoe radius for 3 seconds
60 second cooldown.








(like guldans horror, however this cast point is from Zunimassa herself so requires you to be in the middle of a fight to gain full effect)

Gruesome feast (Quest) (Passive)
Health globes increase your spell power by 10% for 10 seconds, can stack.
Quest stage 1 - After consuming 10 health globes you gain a permanent 10% spell power increase
Quest stage 2 - After consuming 20 health globes you gain a permanent 20% spell power increase
Quest stage 3 - After consuming 30 health globes you gain a permanent 30% spell power increase

Grave Injustice (Passive)
Enemies who die within 20 yards of you restore life, mana and reduce time remaining on your cooldowns
Minions restore 1% and reduce cooldowns by 0.2 seconds. Enemy heroes 10% and reduce cooldowns by 5 seconds.

Legacy of Nightmares
Each enemy hero you kill has a 50% chance to drop ancient loot
Ancient loot will permanently increase your damage by 10% and reduce the damage you take by 2%, stacks to 13.
>no loot is dropped or anything, it is just to keep theme of this build as it revolved around the legacy of nightmares set

Resentful Spirits (Passive)
Haunt will now travel to the nearest enemy hero of your target when cast.

Pestilence (Passive)
Locust swarm will jump to 1 nearby enemy when a unit affected dies. (includes minions transferring to heroes)

Severance (Passive)
Spirit walk increases your movement speed by 100% for the duration

Rush of Essence (Passive)
Casting spirit barrage or haunt on enemy heroes will restore 10% of max mana over 10 seconds

Lingering spirit (Passive)
Upon killing an enemy if your haunt cannot jump to another enemy the spirits will follow you for 10 seconds and jump to the first enemy hero within 20 yards.

Cloud of insects (Passive Morph)
Your pestilence now becomes a single target spell that will also reduce the damage done by the target by 25%

Healing Journey (Passive)
-Healing Journey (Passive) - Spirit walk heals you for 15% of your health when cast.

Ring of emptiness (Passive) - Enemies affected by both your locust swarm and haunt take 300% spirit barrage damage.

Aquila Cuirass (Passive)
While above 90% (?) mana you reduce the first incoming damage taken from enemy heroes non basic attacks by 50% and all further damage by 25% for 3 seconds, 10 second cooldown.

Frostburn Gauntlets (Active)
Your spirit barrage will freeze enemies in place for 2 seconds when hit, lasts 5 seconds 30 second cooldown.

Pauldrons of the Skeleton King (Passive)
On death you linger for 5 seconds within the spirit world, you gain spirit walk for the duration and can attack and cast freely for the duration, if you kill an enemy within the 5 seconds you have a 35% chance of reviving at your location with 25% life and mana

The Barber
Spirit barrage no longer deals direct damage, instead stores up the damage it would deal to the target and unleashes a potent blast 3 seconds after you stop channeling for 200% damage.

Spirit barrage restores health and mana with each bolt.

Soul harvest duration increased by 15 seconds and can now stack to 10, new stacks refresh the full amount duration

Gazing Demise
Spirit barrage conjures a phantasm when it hits a target, the phantasm remains stationary for 3 seconds dealing aoe damage. Max of 3 phantasms at a time, phantasms will only be conjured if there are not 3 already up.

lasts an additional 1 second (4 total) and stuns all enemies when they are pulled in for 0.2 seconds every time they are pulled

Increases your movement and attack speed by 25% for 6 seconds.

When your health drops to 0 you gain spirit walk for 1 second and restoring you to 25% health.

Your spirit barrage will also attack 2 targets within 5 yards of your target

Intention

My intention of this hero is to introduce to HotS the best diablo 3 build i have played, it finally introduced a spell caster playstyle i enjoyed in diablo and would love to see it in HotS.
I intended to make a hero who would stay true to its nature and theme in the game it has been taken from, so to do this i made spirit barrage become the default attack Zunimassa will use and her spells are more to supplement this while offering utility and some minor maintenance to upkeep.

I have only recently came back to HotS, have never used this site before so i apologize if someone else has already suggested bringing this diablo spec into HotS, it started off as a quick little project of imagining how this hero would fit into the game and then i decided to publish it to get feedback on how to change and balance it a bit which i imagine is probably imbalanced at the moment and also to actually finish it off as i am not very experienced on how damage actually scales in HotS compared to mobas in relation to how skills increase in damage per levels and how powerful quests should be etc, overall balance of the entire kit, talent choices etc.

I tried to make it work so feedback would be appreciated, particularly on how to balance the cooldowns in relation to gameplay with and without Grave injustice.
