Why are enemy A.I's better than mine?

It isn't always like this, for example I was playing the other week and my A.I team mates were able to decide to capture a siege camp all by themselves.
But sometimes they just are completely useless for no reason, for one they never chase and two they seem to recall from a team fight if they take more than 1/4 damage.
While this is happening the enemy A.I seems coordinated and will chase!

Anyone else find this?...

I noticed the same. Thus I don't play vs AI. No fun at all.
