So I've been playing quick matches for a couple weeks but I so often get so much hate from teammates, even when I do an OK job: example pictured below. I fight for objective try to play as team but people often get mad. Li ming in this game even reports me for 'non participation' even though I never afk. Just curious if this is something other ppl in community experience or am I just a hate magnet?

Many games, especially Mobas have a fair share of elitists. I would suggest that you just ignore it, and play your best - it seems you were definitely contributing. On the flip side, there are just as many people who are nice and I suggest you find these people in your game and party up (you'll have a much more fun time). Hope this helps :)

Have to agree @Halfie.. it's easier to blame others than improve your own game-play, so it's easy to have team members giving you more grief than the 'enemy' team.

Judging from your screenshot though, your play may be haphazard, overly aggressive and lack team synergy. Hammer only has the appearance of a tank and not the HP/armor (or even the machine guns & grenade launchers) of mil-spec tanks. In any case, blame is very likely shared in varying degrees. The death of Hammer is harsh due to her movement speed, hence the 'non-participant' report (plus Li-Ming had many deaths and lots of time to decide who to blame for them). Getting back in position can take longer than the death-time.

My advice; don't take anything personally and kindly ask (especially the most vocal critics) how you could have contributed to the team more effectively. It's always best to ask; even when you're in a party. Some of the most successful games have a "mentor" system with mentors gaining exp from the advancement of their 'students' and you can ask them to watch game replays with Q & A.

Oh, also, don't expect tactics effective against AI opponents will apply with players.

Nobody hates you, they just don't like losing, wasting time, being in a team of solo-players, etc. They just want to have fun just like you.
