We are a traditional yoga school in Rishikesh, India, located in the tranquil mountains at the foot of the Himalayas. Shiva Yoga Ashram follows a traditional yoga lineage, with a modern twist. Shiva was the one, the ‘Adidev’ who initiated yoga culture. He has handed down the learnings of this holistic science 5,000 years ago, to the Saptarishis. The rishis spread the knowledge throughout India and created sub-lineages of their own as well. You will find yoga being practiced with subtle modifications in and around the country today.
