I think it's Arthas, because of the "I save those I have slain". I think it also refers to that he once killed Sylvanas then turned her into a Banshee when he slained her.

My Question then :p :

I slept for over a thousand years,

So the answer was Tyrael:
The original words suggested arthas, save "But frozen I am not", ruling him out. Additionally, it states him a "godsend", both a play on words with him being an angel, and the metaphoric sense of being a boon, while NOT being a villain, which arthas is as Lich King and slayer of Fordragon (Sort of).

As for Tyrael, his sword El'Druin is a part of him, and judges those it touches - it cannot directly harm those that are righteous, which is why Malthael wasn't harmed - for some reason his actions were considered just. However, some books suggest El'druin can actually be used to save humans and nephalem, letting them reside in the High Heavens, while demons will always be smote and destroyed, hence saving those he's slain, sort of.

In any case, the answer was Tyrael.

And yours is very certainly Malfurion, although Tyrande can fill some qualifications.

FourCourtJester got the riddle correct with Nova, the riddle suggested marksmanship which Nova is clearly, and if read vertically it spelled out NOVA. Feel free to make one Jester and we'll start off of that to set this back on track.
