Ok Diablo is in a terrible place right now because of how bursty the game is. He also has almost no survivability, no damage, and minimal cc. There is only one true path to take then and that is to... Die. Yes that's right; your goal is get in there fight pop your ult stun and die while praying your team does enough damage to carry the game. With this build you can at least revive quickly and soak some abilities while hopefully disabling an important ult or putting someone out of position every now and then. Diablo once fit his title Lord of Terror but as washed up as he is this build is about the best you can do. Non of the other talents really boost his damage, suvivability, or cc so being able to revive quickly and use his stun often is about the best you can do.
TLDR: Lets face it Diablo is not in a good place right now and most of his talents don't help so the best way to play is just to revive quickly and have a stun. Keep in mind your goal isn't to die feeding exp and it never should be, but you will. (At least come back quickly when that happens)
