Overall Goal of this Build Top
There are a lot of builds for Zeratul and they all have their reasoning.
This is a build that compliments lower level players.
Lower level players are not as good at spotting cloak, therefore this build focuses primarily on not revealing your position until you can secure some good kills.
While you give up some basic damage, you are more evasive and compliment team fights with your void prison ability, as well as your aoe damage on singularity spike.
Talent 1 Top
Greater Cleave
Best Option.
Regen globes are more for laners, which with this build, you will not do much laning.
Block Sucks...
Rapid Displacement is good. But I didn't pick it for this play style because after you reveal you want to kill your opponent, before blinking away.
Seasoned marksman is good, but you are much more effective with your damage with larger radius of Q.
Talent 2 Top
Sustained Anomaly
Best Choice because of Aoe. Being that your W is your most versatile and highest damage ability, adding aoe only makes it better.
Without this you will waste a lot of spikes. Not to mention all that can be done with an aoe spell that can still attach itself to someone/something.
Need I say more?
Talent 3 Top
Shadow Spike
This is where things get a little iffy for some people. The general pick is searing strikes. It gives a lot of damage and can help finish off people quickly.
However, with this build you're playing more of a chip damage style, so just W them down until they are able to be 1 Q-ed.
You sacrifice some damage here but you gain the opportunity to do a lot of sneaky sieging, as well as behind-base/fort kills.
Talent 4 Top
Void Prison
Much better than your other ult.
You can really change games with this.
From stopping a building from dying, to freezing enemies so you can pick up seeds/skulls at the boss, to saving your allies from timed ultimates, to rendering bosses useless for a moment, to separating enemy healers from team in teamfight. There is really no end to the possibilities of this spell.
The bonus is that you are unaffected, giving you maaaadddd escapes as well.
Talent 5 Top
Assassin's Blade
Lets you do more damage when you finally do break cloak, and gives you more movement speed while in cloak, which, with this build, is for most of the game.
Cant pass that up.
Talent 6 Top
Double Bombs
This is where you start to do crazy damage.
You can fire Singularity Spike twice, no one sees you do it, and your bonus damage for breaking cloak when you DO eventually go in for that final strike is more viable.
BUUUUUTTTTTT the real kicker for your W comes in the last Talent.
Talent 7 Top
Rewind
The best thing in the world. Now, you can fire 4 Singularity spikes without becoming visible.
Timed correctly, you can do a lot of damage and be relatively safe about it.
Example:
W 2x from cloak(preferably right next to your target)
Q and hit 2 basic attacks before blinking away (Effectively wasting the abilities of over zealous players).
Hit rewind and blink back(preferably after cloak has returned)
Q and then W 2x while he's running.(He WILL be running)
Very effective for hurting large groups and singles alike, all the while keeping you safe and sound. Also, with 4 singularity spikes without breaking cloak, you can siege like a champion.
Summary Top
I think this build has some real potential, especially at lower levels where cloaked units still frequently go unnoticed.
Happy Hunting
