The state of mind when you are in solo QM Top

I am mainly interested to present this guide to the people who use QM to boost their MMR (match making rating) or play more than often in solo QM.

Currently, hotslogs.com shows that Valla statistically gives 47.7 % win rate, placed just below Gazlowe, which I find highly amusing but rather idiotic. Blasphemy I tell you! She is a GREAT hero for boosting your MMR. The build mostly works with all of the maps or combination of teams you end up randomly. Further into the reading I will expand on the multiple choices of the talents you might have to pick about.

To make it short and sweet for you - as Valla in SOLO QM , with no buddies around my objectives are:

a) Roam as much as possible
b) Babysit my team
c) Find squishy, vulnerable out of place enemy heroes in a team fight

Now obviously, every single game is different and might require me to adapt to different a different set of tactics, but those aforementioned are more than often used as a winning stepping stone.

Again, just to repeat myself - this build is entirely dedicated to Vallas out there who want a sufficient build to last long and prosper in solo quick matchmaking.

The Build Itself Top

So how does it work, you ask?

Your unholy source of power is Hungering Arrow . You do not want to miss this skillshot ever (I find it one of the easiest ones to land) and it desperately depends on you picking and poking the right target. A 14 second cooldown is severely punishing and you'll feel weak in early game team fights. However, once you hit level 7 and unlock Repeating Arrow things will start to change towards your favor. Being able to reset and quickly re-use your most crucial ability within few seconds, while maintaining mobility is an outstanding performance boost.

I find the dynamic relationship between Vault & Hungering Arrow to be very versatile. On one hand, you use Vault to escape and position yourself away from harms way, but on the other, you also end up going slightly around the enemy line and shooting up the squishies! You can also easily kite, avoid and juke enemy melee assassin, tank heroes. The skill cap is endless and the more you practice, the more rewarding the experience becomes.

So now's the part you've all been waiting for - talents!
