Zeratul is all about finesse. Being able to get in, kill your target, and get out is the main focus of this build. Early game you'll want to stick to a lane and only leave when going for an objective. This allows you to start building stacks of your Seasoned Marksman which will continue on into mid and late game. Once you have a few stacks you can roam if you see people missing from lanes.
Once you hit level 10 you get
Shadow Assault which allows you to chase any hero down while continuously using your abilities. One thing to note however is when to properly use your heroic ability. I save mine for the end of a team fight to clean up and finish off low HP heroes without having to use
Blink to close gaps or jump over walls.
At level 16 I choose
Double Bombs because it allows you to either focus one target down even faster and keep them slowed or choose two targets, keep one slowed while being able to stick on your main target. This is especially good when you have
Shadow Assault up and don't want to get interrupted by an enemy tank or support. A good combo with this is to pop
Searing Attacks open with a
Cleave , Double cast
Singularity Spike basic attack and then blink ahead to reset your basic attack and get a second
Cleave in to finish them off.
At level 20 I choose
Bolt of the Storm because it allows Zeratul to get in, kill his target, and get out. In the case of some heroes that also have gap closers you can use bolt to gain more distance and slip away safely. This ability also allows you to outplay your opponents when not in lane.
**SIDE NOTE** I have added Tassadar as a threat to this build because of his ability to reveal stealth heroes like Zeratul and make his ability to slip in unnoticed a lot harder. Keep an eye out for this when encountering an enemy Tassadar
