Overview Top

King Leoric is a recurring boss in the Diablo series. He was first seen in the original Diablo shortly after fighting the Butcher. He appeared as just a very large skeleton with a helmet and a two-handed sword. In his tomb he is surrounded by skeleton minions who continue to barrage you until the fight is over. Most players would clear the room of his minions while avoiding him and then focus on him once the room was clear enough to toe to toe him.

Leoric was later brought back to life in Diablo 3 with a more intricate battle strategy, heavy armor, and now a giant mace. His attacks are very devastating and should be avoided at all costs. He also summons skeletons, which should be dealt with while avoiding the King himself, much like the original fight in the original Diablo.

Playing Leoric in Heroes of the Storm Top

When playing Leoric one should always create a presence. Tagging enemy players with his to demount and slow them, sap them with his , and using his to maneuver in and out of team fights.

You should ALWAYS be using your on cooldown to chip away at the enemy team and keep them hindered. Mastering the arc of his swing will increase your play ability exponentially.

When in team fights or 1v1 ALWAYS make sure you have a on an enemy player. This will heal you and keep you up, and the range of the ability will often get you the last hit you need to finish the job. In team fights enemy players often don't realize they are being drained because the animation is kind of hard to see underneath all the movement and abilities flying around. Lower tier players will simply get drained into a husk.

is a utility that really messes up the enemy team. When in an encounter with the enemy team you can use wraith walk to get out of messy situations (like the entire team focusing you.) Try wraith walking out of a team fight after initiating, then simply turning around and going back in with some , or just them. Another use for this ability is to catch people trying to flee or make maneuver plays. You notice Valla starting to retreat after you've turned the tide in your favor. Simple activate and walk through her. Deactivate once you're standing directly in her travel path. She will be forced to walk around your corporeal form. This is a great opportunity to her and

is a great utility, not only for trapping/picking off enemy heroes but it also works to block enemy reinforcements from entering the fray, or you can use it to separate the enemy team and make focusing target heroes down before their team and regroup. If you feel you can 1v1 an enemy hero easily. You can put your back up against a wall, and trap them in the entomb. REMEMBER, if you are in trouble, you can press again to crumble the tomb and move freely again!

, is Leoric's go to ability for presence and ferocity. If you want to really put pressure on the enemy team you can signal to your team that you are going to make a play and simply walk all over the enemy team. With some heals or damage/support this ability can easily turn a 5v5 in your favor. Put your hands up in the air, and swing your giant mace like you just don't care.
