Cons:
-SQUISHY
-Relies heavily on AA's
-Potential mana issues

Valla's Abilities Top

Q-Hungering Arrow:

Solid poke ability. Use to harass enemy Heroes. Spamming this on lane minions during soak phases will leave you low on mana for map objectives(you have been warned). There's nothing worse then realizing you don't have enough mana to vault away from death. Note that if you shoot Hungering Arrow in the vicinity of a Hero it will home in on them.

W-Multishot:

Valla's main AoE ability. Frontal cone, good damage, tons of utility. Great for clearing waves and AoE damage in teamfights. If you go an AoE talent build Multishot will be your bread and butter. You can grab Frost Shot at 13 for a nice AoE slow. If you have a good eye, this ability can cause nightmares for cloaked Heroes. Uncloak them when they're out of position(it's hard to miss with Multishot)and watch your team melt them. Did I mention this dismounts charging opponents?

E-Vault:

Valla's biggest drawback is how squishy she is. Often when you start taking damage as Valla it takes just a few seconds until you're dead. All of this means Valla relies heavily on proper positioning. Which brings me to Vault. This is Valla's "Oh ****! I'm not standing where I should be..." ability. This move will save you're life time and time again if used properly (PLEASE DO NOT VAULT INTO A TEAMFIGHT AND EXPECT IT TO GO WELL). Save for defensive purposes because the mobility Vault provides is Valla's strongest defensive mechanism.
*You can use it to chase down opponents or to get in position to finish off a low health enemy, but like I said if the other team focuses on you, you now have no way to get away. BE CAREFUL USING VAULT OFFENSIVELY

R-Strafe:

Strong AoE damage ability. Valla can move while channeling this ability. Easily countered with hard cc. Note that arrows do not penetrate past first targets hit until you get lvl 20 talent.

R-Rain of Vengeance

I highly recommend this ability over Strafe. It provides you with hard cc and still gives you decent damage. While you're enemies are stunned and trying to get out of the stun zone you should be melting them with your AA's. The stun from this move will save your life if you are being focused/dived (which you'll often find is the case). In addition, a well-placed Rain of Vengeance during a team fight can really give your team a HUGE advantage.

POSITIONING!POSITIONING!POSITIONING!!!!
As Valla if you get caught expect to die. Proper positioning is essential to your success with Valla. Don't lead fights. Don't chase alone. Don't facecheck brush. Stick with your team and fight from back lines.

Now that I got that out, I'd like to mention I rarely play an AoE talent build with Valla. I don't feel the damage output is nearly as high as can be achieved with an Auto attack talent build. That being said an AoE build has it place on certain maps and with certain team compositions and is entirely viable. Therefore, I've included the AoE talent build I use on occasion, however, please take it with a grain of salt.

An Auto Attack talent build requires you to, well, Auto attack. A LOT!!! If you've never heard of orb walking go look it up. You'll need to know how to do it to get the most out of this build. You want to be Auto attacking as much as you can to keep your stacks of Hatred up, and because its your main source of damage :P

LVL 1:

Grab Rancor(Hatred increase attack speed)
The extra attack speed will help you clear faster and do more damage to enemies that let you AA harass them in lane. Try to keep your Hatred stacks up as much as possible by continuously auto attacking heroes and lane minions. You should be able to bully most melee heroes, but care of overextending, you're a prime ganking target. If you do find yourself losing your lane play it safe and clear waves from your Gate. Use your Q and W to poke enemy heroes. Make sure your W hits enemy lane minions for more efficient wave clearing. Care of exhausting all your mana by spamming abilities.
If you're building an AoE build grab Composite Arrows to increase the cone size of Multishot.

LVL 4:

You have 2 choices here for an AA build. Vampiric Assault or Manticore. Both are viable, but I almost always take Vampiric Assault and here's why. Manticore is strong but it requires 3 successive AA's on the same target. While often this isn't hard to manage I do find myself trying to get off extra AA's on a target to proc this. It leads me into all sorts of bad positioning XD. In addition I find in HotS team fights its often hard to avoid all the AoE damage being dished out, especially when your trying to capture a temple or shrine. On top of this, you're most likely not your healers first priority. So by grabbing Vampiric Assault you can weather this damage, take some stress off your healer, and still have enough health to be relevant to the current team fight. It also synergizes well with your lvl 1 talent choice (more AA's=more healing from AA's) Later in the game Vampiric Assault will give you enough healing to be able to duel most Heroes.

LVL 7:

Since I'm assuming you're already proficient at positioning you don't need the utility talents from this tree. If you do, I recommend Hot Pursuit, but you'll miss out on your ONLY chance to give Valla some burst damage.
Take Searing Attacks. Activating this will make all your AA's crit for 5 seconds. Works great with your first two talents and once you get Giant Killer at lvl 13 you will be melting even tanks with this active in just a few seconds.

LVL 10:

Take Rain of Vengeance. Read abilities section for explanation.

Hopefully you're team got here first because having your ults vs a team without ults is a BEYOND HUGE advantage. Capitalizing on this advantage with a good team fight can set your team up to win the game. At this point you're team is probably moving away from laning and focusing more on the specific map objective. HELP THEM! As Valla, stay in a safe position and keep chipping away at your enemies with your auto attacks. Focus the healers and damage first if you can. Auto attacking tanks in team fights before getting the Giant Killer talent is ineffective. Use you W and Q as poke and E as your escape. If you're winning the team fight (i.e 2 of them are alive 5 of your team alive and they are running away at 20%health) you can use your E aggressively to chase them down and finish them off. Care of your positioning and look for a good opportunity to use Rain of Vengeance. Don't forget to soak lanes especially if you're behind in exp. If you're ahead look to start capturing some merc camps.

LVL 13:

You have a few options here.
If you opted to take Manticore over Vampiric Assault at lvl 4 now is your chance to get some healing from your auto attacks by taking Tempered by Discipline. If you're building an AoE build Frost Shot is a must and is a solid choice. Personally, I take Giant Killer. Extra damage vs Heroes and tanks will fear you from here on out. If you take Giant Killer feel free to melt away that tank foolishly charging into your team, otherwise focus the squishiest first. Note I only recommend focusing the tank at this point if they're clearly being overly aggressive, or if they are the only enemy you can safely attack.

LVL 16:

What you choose in this tree depends a lot on what you chose earlier. If you took Frost Shot at lvl 13, Executioner is a must take now. Blood for Blood has potential if you opted for no self-healing but its cast range is very short and I don't really recommend grabbing this. Tumble is OK for extra survivability, but be careful. You'll find if you're using vault too much, you'll run out of mana FAST. With no mana you lose your burst from Searing Attacks. Personally, I find if you position yourself properly you'll almost never need a 2nd vault. Stoneskin is a good defensive choice and what I recommend (barring if you took Frost Shot). It shores up Valla's biggest weakness, her squishy-ness. Great for duels, great for team fights. If you took Vampiric Assault the shield from Stoneskin will absorb damage while you are healing life (granted you're auto attacking) giving you even more survivability than you're probably expecting.

LVL 20:

If you took Strafe take Vengeance.
I don't recommended taking Storm of Vengeance because by the time 2 strikes have occurred nobody is going to still be standing in the stun zone. They will either be dead or have ran out of it. Very rarely should a 3rd or 4th strike be needed. It is fun to watch someone take 4 strikes to the face though!
Nexus Frenzy is the way to go. More attack speed, more attack range. Perfect synergy with all the AA talents I recommended you take prior to this. The extra range really makes auto attacking from safety much easier. The extra attack speed here in addition to the extra attack speed from lvl 1 makes Giant Killer from lvl 13 really shine.

Laugh as you kill Diablo's in 3 seconds...You now know how to hunt demons!

THIS IS A TEAM GAME. NOT HELPING YOUR TEAMMATES WILL MAKE YOU LOSE MORE NO MATTER HOW MUCH SKILL YOU HAVE. PLEASE WORK WITH YOUR TEAMMATES.
