This is NOT a proven build. This is just an idea that I want to try out. There are some mechanics of it that I need to research. If you do try it out please comment on how it went and how we should refine this idea.

Introduction Top

Here we capitalize on the sieging abilities of the Witch Doctor and his talent tree. This could in theory work very well on Blackheart's Bay bot lane, Dragon Shire bot lane or Sky Temple bot lane. All of these have multiple, easy merc camps you can stack in a single lane.

Early Game Top

Initially make sure you do not miss a single Bribe stack. You only have to be near lane minion deaths to get the stack. Keep an eye on your stack counter. once you max the counter out (50) you are now loosing stack opportunities. Only spend stacks on the enemy giants. If you have a surplus of stacks you can spend them on your own. Get a teammate to help you take your giants. Try to never leave a single merc camp along the bottom lane available. On Blackheart's Bay avoid picking up the coins if a teammate is near. you dont want to have to waste too much time at the pirate turn in missing out on Bribe stacks.

If you are able to get into a good laning cadence on Dragon Shire you can actually clear out your lane, mount up and get close enough to mid to collect Bribe stacks and return bot to collect the new wave of stacks.

Also make sure you understand the trait. every attack and ability poisons units. if they die while poisoned you get health and mana regen. This will help with your sustain cause the ganks and harass will be coming down hard from the other team.

Promote lane minions to increase their health pool. Early game you are trying to push the lane into their towers to drain their ammo. Stronger minions will take another shot or two of ammo out of the tower. Also if you are careful you can use yourself as an ammo drain. You can heal up better than minions can. Just be very careful as the enemies will want to capitalize on you in your weak state.

In an upcoming patch the Towers at the first gate will give 400xp. So focus these down to help your team get early XP gains. Early XP gains will help propel you to the Level 7 talent Mercenary Lord. There is not much more gratifying for a WD than sneaking around to the enemy giants, Bribe with Mercenary Lord for big pushing power at very little risk forcing them back out of their current map strategies.

Mid Game Top

With every single talent choice you do need to decide if you should still be sieging. Based on the success of your team and the enemy team make decisions that help you win. If your still in a position to siege then take the Gargantuan. This will further help apply siege damage, peel tower shots, drain ammo and take merc camps. Dead Rush talent also helps as targetable units are created which will drain some ammo shots.

You will get into a nice cadence on your merc waves where you can fight one camp. control the enemy minion wave they face and time it so you Bribe the enemy giants and they meet up in lane to go down 4 or even 6 strong.

The towers at the inner gate will be giving 650xp soon. Focus these down. Be very careful pushing into the second gate as your escape routes are very limited, especially on Sky Temple where bridges really box you in.

At this point you have been ganked a few times and the whole team power is spiking. you will get melted so fast. Probably good to focus less on Bribe stacks and go help your team. Be mindful however of picking up a wave of stacks here or there as the team rotates. you will collect enough that after a good team fight you can rotate over and Bribe some giants and catch up to your team moving onto another objective applying continual pressure.

Dead Rush may help with ammo peel. However consider Ice Block to survive a gank or to sit under tower and drain ammo. Rewind may help you get out another Gargantuan for even more pushing power.

Infested Toads will increase damage output but Stoneskin may be really important depending on the harass you receive.

Late Game Top

Promote catapults. Win. Congratulations. If you do hit level 20 and there are still enemy forts or keeps around then upgrade to Humongoid to further peel and drain ammo. If you find yourself getting pounced on please take Bolt of the Storm for a quick juke / escape.

COMMENT / FEEDBACK Top

This is really just theory crafting on my part. Leave your comments. Have you tried a build like this before? I'll be trying it more and updating this guide with my findings. Do you think this type of build could be viable? To all you WD masters what glaring errors or big changes should I make?
