Any thoughts on the changes to Zagara's approaching toolkit and functionality?

Hey, kinda a noob here, what do you mean by her approaching toolkit and functionality?

He means how will her role and function change in games, with the new toolkit of talents and reworked abilities.

I think the answer here is: "Split push baby. Send the WINions to the enemy core." But with all seriousness her playstyle hasn't changed that much if you go for Devouring Maw. And the Nydus Network play, you already explained quite well.

I have loved playing Zagara for a long time. She was the first specialist I took. I agree with all of the things you said. Blizzard managed to put talents for more than 1 viable build and some of the changes are really good - Creep mechanics (though the cd increase is brutal), Nydus network, the way banelings work now....

What makes me sad though is that they destroyed the old hydra build. There was a way to change Zagara and preserve that to some degree, (like they did with Uther and the 9-spell build), but instead Blizzard opted to nurf the cr*p out of both the Hydra and Zagara's AA damage.

RIP Hidra build! We will remember you fondly.
