The best part about Lamb to the Slaughter is that almost no one ever realizes it until it is too late. I can tell you many times that people have been hooked and kept trying to run away!

I have up to date not lost a 1v1 with this build ever , always wins even against the hardest tanks or the burstiest heroes..

Absolutly monster this is , but be aware if you are new to The Butcher , he's really easy to kill if left alone.

But my god its hillarious to absolutly demolish tanks such as Johanna in mather of secounds.

Good guide? When can we expect the late game?
I love the butcher... But very hard to play... Use to be support or warrior... It's really cool char...

I am balls to the walls player and I really love doing massive damage. With the right team that supports you, it's very deadly.

Gave ya thumbs up.

Thanks Rav! Glad you enjoy it.

Really? You choose brutal strike over Abbatoir? Reasoning behind this?

The extra 10% Damage should be more than that 50% stronger basic attack.

Have you tried Brutal Strike? The hamstring build is focused on deleting someone from a fight as quickly as possible. Your AA from Brutal Strike hits instantly after Hamstring, which is on a 3 sec CD. This does an insane amount of burst, far more than the 10% increase. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed in the burst.

Now if you would like a ranked and more forgiving build, you can do (which many competitive players build):

1: Invigoration
4: Flail Axe
7: Abattoir
10: Furnace Blast
13: Spell Shield (if they have Jaina, KT) or Crave Flesh
16: Blood Frenzy
20: Bolt of the Storm

Reason for Abattoir in this build - you will likely get focused and die if you dive at the wrong time. Abattoir is more forgiving on deaths.

The hamstring build in this guide is a balls to the wall build and it is not forgiving :)

Highest dmg output for butchers are hamstring build and its much better for bursting players down. I've been toying around with taking Abattoir and Brutal Strike but so far i've had much better succes rate with Brutal Strike for simple reason when ever butcher goes in he gets cced down. Much better choice to burst one player down before you get stunned or kited. And without Brutal Strike its not possible to burst anyone down unless your team is far ahead.

Been playing hamstring build more because i feel its much better with one variation. Because im capable of bursting someone down withing seconds im picking spellshield at lvl 13 for extra survivability and i never want to use Brand on my main target because main target is always squishy assassin and its wasted on him.

Charge in burst one down switch to target that cant kite you around but brand on him and nuke him and hope to survive

Thanks for the comment - I mentioned most of these points in the guide. I don't entirely agree that Hamstring is the ONLY competitive build. You still do some amazing damage with AA.

AA = more forgiving, but still great damage.

Hamstring = insane burst, but more painful if you die.
