Introduction Top

Hello! Another random player here and here is a quick guide for an insane killing machine. This is a glass cannon build so positioning and knowing when to retreat is very important.

Pros:

- Very strong attacks
- Can finish squishy heroes very quickly
- Unlimited use of Triple Tap

Cons:

- Painfully slow attacks
- More difficult to kill minions due to slow attacks
- Very squishy
- Slow ultimate cool down initially

Gathering Power
Anti-Armor Shells

Early game

Early game for any character is almost always the same -- you pick a lane and you soak exp. I find it better to take a lane with another player so they can kill the minions and you harass the enemy hero. If the enemy is not present then help clearing the minion waves. At level 4, I usually select Gathering Power just because I am used to it. However, Envenom is also an excellent choice because it deals a **** ton of damage.

Level 7

This is where you become a little less useful clearing minions or doing any objectives. Anti-Armor Shells turns your basic attack 3x slower so you have to conserve it and use it only against an enemy hero. Let your team mates do the objectives/minions and your main purpose is only to harass the opponent. Ambush Snipe + normal attack takes away a big chunk and that usually sends the enemy in retreat. Oh, and you can of course help with giants/knights. Just make sure that there are no enemies waiting to ambush your team.

Time to tap that a..

I love using Triple Tap because it is almost always a guaranteed kill. And during the late game, any enemy kill is huge. In an engagement, your team should always focus on 1 enemy hero. Your snipe + regular attack + your team mates usually gets the job done. If not, use Triple Tap. Or you can also choose a squishy hero and use the Ambush Snipe + regular attack + Triple Tap to kill them.

Chasing the Runaway Hero

At level 13, I've seen some players use decoy or shield. As a pure offense build I use Advanced Cloaking. It lowers basic ability cool downs plus it lets you run around the map without using a mount. This is very useful in chasing a retreating hero since you do not have to stop and mount. It may help reduce your cloak shimmer a bit but don't count on it. Good players can always spot you anyway.

Level 16

I love Overdrive simply because it adds power to Ambush Snipe but Crippling Shot is also a good alternative specially when ganking a tank.

Full Offense

At level 20 with Fast Reload, you have unlimited Triple Tap. All you have to do is follow your team mates, unleash your Overdrive + Ambush Snipe + regular attack combo and send them to their graves with Triple Tap. You can also hunt for squishy or damaged heroes as they will always fall to your combo but if the enemy incapacitates you in any way (stun, ultimate, etc.) you are screwed.

End Top

That's about it! I hope you find the guide useful. I am writing this while at err.. work so I probably need to improve this a bit. Nova is a very good executioner but you can only shine when you have team mates to back you up. Like any game, the key here is positioning and team work. Good luck and have fun!
