The anti-melee build is aimed to destroy tanks, bruisers and melee assassins in close-quarter combat. At level 4 Kneel, Peasants! can be a worthwhile pick if you need additional waveclear. March of the Black King can be a replacement for Entomb. Mithril Mace has a fascinating synergy with Spectral leech, that will allow Leoric to outlast multiple opponents thanks to the new and improved Drain Hope (Willing Vessel, Hardened Bones).
This build offers decent waveclear, but is lacking versus highly mobile enemy heroes, and since it relies on basic attacks blinds and attack speed slows really diminish your damage output.
The go-to build is a solid all-around build that is especially powerful against high health heroes, such as tanks, bruisers and Azmodan. At level 7 Drain momentum can give you the chance to keep up with fleeing targets, while Hopelessness can help you against many slows, roots and stuns, or if the enemy has instant mobility abilities. Pick whichever suits your playstyle the most. Both heroics can work, but March of the Black King allows you to talent into Death March, which can yield some devastating damage on grouped up enemies. Since the main damage dealing tool in this build is Drain Hope Unyielding Despair and Crushing Hope are a must.
