Because I'm new at this, I'm just going to lay everything out right here.

The combo goes as follows = E > D > W > W > Q. you could also lead with envenom (often times my preference) or just save it for a more prime opportunity.

Lvl 1 - Mana Addict - you get this for the sole purpose of your lvl 16 ability. The mana is nice, but the shield is the end goal

All the other abilities are meh and don't pay off as much later in the game.

Lvl 4 - Envenom - I will often times start with envenom in my combo because by the time you finish your main combo they are typically out of your range.

Gathering power is typically the go to for any hero with the ability. For Kael, however, you deal plenty of damage without it, and as opposed to nova or zeratul, you're not invisible so you're more likely to die even with good positioning.

The range and speed bonus on nether wind is nice, but at the end of the day, once you have the ability under your feet you won't really need it.

Lvl 7 - Fission Bomb - For the soul purpose of your combo. The additive damage from the secondary explosions is where the majority of Kael's damage lies.

Lvl 10 - Pheonix - Because Pyro Blast can be evaded or blocked with spells later on in the game making it useless (it can also be interrupted). Pheonix is like Tyrande's ulti, it's more for zone control than pure damage (it can be good for pushing too). With its low cooldown (40 seconds) you can throw it out pretty much every team fight.

Lvl 13 - Pyromaniac - The ability cooldown is amazing for your burst. Try playing with and without it and you'll never look back.

Lvl 16 - Arcane Barrier - Going up against another Kael using Pyroblast? How about a Nova? Nullified. With 200% shield based on your max mana you'll get upwards of a 2k shield which will block any ulti. It's practically like having Ice Block but being able to move and cast at the same time (assuming you're not disabled). The other abilities are decent, but whats important is that you de-squish-ify Kael as much as possible. With as much damage as he deals he's a top priority target.

Lvl 20 - Bolt of the Storm - For purely more survivability. Can be used offensively too.
