Drain hope is everything, Drain hope is love, Drain hope is life. Don't get caught out with drain hope down, wraith walk out of most situations at least 1 second before you think you need to run.

Early game, take an assassin or another hero to lane with you if you feel like they're going to stack against you and just drain hope and poke at heroes till they either die or call for reinforcements.

Mid game, you're finally gaining some steam once you pick up your Ulti and you have Drain hope does burst 10% to heroes if entire duration is used. This is spike damage that most wont see coming and once they do, it will cause them to disengage quickly, buying your squishies time. Focus your drain hope on Warriors seeing on how it does percentage damage, in turn, giving you the most bang for your buck. Other meaty heroes like Azmodan also are great targets due to their massive health pools. Once you get the drain hope upgrade for reducing cooldown by the duration of Drain Hope applied you are ready to ruin teams days.

Late Game, at 16 and above, you are a sheer tank destroying nuisance, the damage you will do if you are consistent and accurate with your Drain Hopes will make you target number 1 for the enemy team, buying your DPS all the time needed to melt the important targets, but here's where Level 20 gets fun. Take the upgraded March of the Black King, for every hero hit, it applies a basic version of drain hope to the hit hero. This is not only going to deal massive damage per swing, healing you for every hit, but also will siphon up to 25% of your enemies health while doing it. The sustain is real here, the damage is noticeable, and the enemy team will either flee and die, or stay and die, if your team is on top of the fight. Either way, Skeleton King, you are now part of my forever arsenal.
