About OCM:

I'm a 2x Rank 1 and Master+ player specializing in high MMR Assassin & "flex" play, and have played HotS since first wave technical alpha testing. I now stream and youtube more casually.

My guides are like notebooks. I update them progressively based on what I learn and theorycraft. As such, this guide is a culmination of my experience, successes, and feedback.

Dehaka has always been an interesting warrior, but with the recent reintroduction into the meta with the mount speed changes and now his Tier S rework, it's in every serious player's best interest to learn and love our resident space puppy.

In this guide, I'll be going over the builds I think emphasize the most utility to be had with Dehaka. As always, my guides represent my successes, and are merely suggestion on how to play Dehaka.

PRIMAL BULLY Top

I don't know how else to say it, this build is NUTS. Dehaka's rework with the Ragnaros patch has placed him comfortably in a Tier S position when played by good Dehaka players.

This is the build that, I believe, represents all of those strengths the best in the current meta. The build makes use of Dehaka's potent solo-laner ability while making use of his newfound solo-tank potential and insane team fighting utility. You'll notice that many of the talents in this build seem fairly standard in comparison to last patch, and the theme is the same: W is strong.

However, recognize the key strengths of this build. Very strong wave clear, global presence, self-sustain, skirmish/team fight damage, and utility. Remember the use that comes from both your Q and your E. Both of these abilities are lengthier cooldowns with high impact when used correctly. Your W is your spam, and allows you to throw your body into the fray and punish the enemy team for being near you with unsuspecting damage. Save your Q and E for critical plays, and pay conscious attention to lanes and off-soak.

As the title of this build suggests:

I would not recommend this build for a solo-tank situation. But, if your team allows for a double tank comp that wants to emphasize QUICK global presence and deadly ganks paired with consistent CC, this is the way to go.

It is important to remember that you can now cancel your E, which means you can get the benefits of lurker strain and immediately pop back out to pursue an enemy in full supersonic stealth glory, then follow it up with potent CC provided by Q stun, slow following, cooldown reduction on Q with auto attacks, and Isolation if need be.

Again, I would not call this by ANY means a solo-tank build. But, if you're looking for a gimmick, these reworked talents allow for one hell of a meme.
