Is this build particularly helpful on any specific map?

Thank you for the guide. I am a new player and have really enjoyed playing Rehgar. I really love the fact that all of the Curse Gaming guides give good detail on how to play the characters during the different phases of the game.

Pretty cool guide.
I just tried it a few minutes ago after a long time of not playing reghar.
This playstyle goes easy and makes reghar a real powerhouse becaus he is capable of Heals, Slows that get close to a 1 sec root and an ontop a shild, with his natural mobility and regeneration it feels like carrying a game by support.
+1 for you Dude! Awsome

The only two things I would never pick are Healing Totem and Earthgrasp Totem. I prefer Healing Surge and the double Lighting Shield as it essentially gives you a free one.
Healing Totem is great if the enemy doesn't care and fights in its zone, which most of the time never happend for me. On top of that, I will spam Chain Heal in the lategame anyway due to buffing it and the reduced Mana cost.

It really comes down to how your team plays and how you predict your enemy to play. I know that Healing Totem + Lili Ultimate is insane but for me you are a bad player if you just stay in the Healing Totem zone. Just disengage and wait until its over.

I think the 1 Second slow is nice on Earthgrasp Totem. Still I prefer to place the normal Totem while bodyblocking the fleeing enemy and getting "more slow" out of the 35% for 8s duration.
Its just really situational, same as Bloodlust :/.

Hey sneaky!

I've got a little question, in a team where there is another healing support (lets say a brightwing). Do you still take level 13 healing surge over feral lunge? I just feel like with 2 healing supports our team really lacks damage. What are your thoughts on this?

+1 tip:
- Rmb to Ghost Wolf up when you chase (during a close chase), and even ghost wolf during team fight for that extra 100% dam. Also Lightning Shield urself after u atk with wolf to utilize this +100%dam
- Lightning Shield dam over time is much higher than initial dam, so try to put it on someone staying in the middle of their team rather than someone running away, unless the latter really needs a quick shield to surv

Tested some stuff in arena mode.

Basic attack buffs only stack multiplicatively. This makes them unexciting because rehgar has fine but not spectacular dps or single target damage. He only has it with his wolf form but focussed attack or searing attacks don't stack with that Further more searing attacks cancel wolf form, so you need to attack in wolf form and then cast the searing attacks which sucks immensely as you probably won't even get the full usage of the wolf form.. Makes the talent not situational but useless.

As for feral heart It doesnt increase mana or health you gain from others or healing fountain only your base regeneration. This still makes it ok and probably best choice for lack of other good choices in tier 2 but it's not such a big loss to end up taking farsight (which is pretty good if they have multiple of abathur, murky, zeratul or nova).

Tier 5 and 6 there are some more good options than just the obvious improved healing and totem.
Tier 6 lightning bond is really good too if you have some other tank or frontline hero that is a good target for it, at this point you are usually teamfighting anyway and casting shield on another hero while getting it yourself constantly is really sweet. With stormcaller you are basically keeping constant shield on yourself in fights while dropping it all over the place, pretty sweet. Even if you end up creeping or waveclearing alone you can still shield your totem to get double damage, i'm inclined to say lightning bond is better than earthgrasp totem though it depends on their heroes and how much cc your team has, if people take executioner because of you etc. If you passed up on feral heart because you needed farsight then stormcaller + lightning bond is especially interesting as it saves you mana.

I prefer bloodlust as I find the timing on ancestral healing tricky. A near full heal with a delay is pretty hard because I find it happens too often that the heal is late or I heal only half because I expected them to focus. The shield talent for lightning shield helps but it's still hard. Admittedly taking ancestral healing does make your lvl 20 talent better as the other talents aren't that great.

Bloodlust feels much better though on haunted mines, garden terror and dragon shire. You often end up pushing 5 man with your objective there and the bloodlust also affects it for which speed and attack bonus is such a great bonus.

Some workings of talents are not entirely clear to me which make me hard to decide on them.
Healing totem tier 1 is by far best and a nobrainer i think.
Feral heart at tier 2 is alright but I find that I spend less than half the time in spirit form despite spamming it non-stop, you just need to cast spells and attack that much often. For the increase in base healing and mana it's therefore not that amazing although still fine. I'm curious though how it works with heal totem and shrines, does it improve the healing amount or the speed of healing or nothing at all?
Also curious how focussed attack interacts with the wolf form. You typically enter a fight with wolf form which would let you usually have focussed attack up. If the bonusses multiply that would make for a nice 300% attack when coming in, certainly interesting. Especially if it would work with feral lunge as well.. 450% attack when coming in with a leap, that would be 693 damage at lvl 13 or about a third of raynor/valla/falstad's hp. If it's additively it wouldn't be interesting though.

I believe searing attacks breaks wolf form which makes it much less exciting. Still decent but rehgar is mana hungry enough as it is and the shield is more useful.

tier 4 is another interesting choice. You default to healing surge which is a fine talent. I find that it's rare to effectively use the extra target in healing though. Basically only agianst aoe in teamfights do you really hit a useful 4th target and even then doesn't matter much often. So mostly you are just getting it for the 25% buff on main target which is ok but not amazing.
I find I prefer lightning totem usually. Especially with earthbind totem coming up later this just really makes for some nice aoe effect. A single totem clears lanes now basically and helps you solo knights super easily and quickly and in combat just dropping a totem in the middle or on their support/assassin does wonders now, I feel it outweighs healing usually because it works so well when you get earthgrasp totem. Even better if they have nova/zeratul, slowing them and instantly revealing.

Tier 5 is pretty clear earthgrasp totem, instant aoe cc with a nice area of effect and lasting effect. Makes your worst spell go to quite good. Only against a lot of tanks would i consider blood for blood.

Either way i'll have to test a bit myself how some of the basic attack talent buffs work together. If they work like I hope I do I think focussed attack/feral lunge is a fine alternative too that let's you do some great damage coming into the fight for free. You give up some decent talents but it could outweigh it if they have some squishy assassin targets.
