Introduction Top

Hello my name is Zogi, I've been playing heroes of the storm since Alpha. I mainly play Assassins and recently picked up Thrall. I've taking quite a liking to him and he's replaced Valla as my main.

This guide is still under construction and will therefore focus on my first build which I mainly use to solo queue. It works wonders in the absence of a support character, having a whole lot of uptime on Frostwolf Resilience.

I will update this guide with more builds and video footage when I get the chance.

Talents Top

Tier 1 (Lv. 1)

The first talent we'll be picking up is Rabid Wolves. It's an ability we'll be using frequently and we might as well let it give us 3 stacks of Frostwolf Resilience whenever we hit a hero with it (which will be a lot of the time). The reason I favor this talent over Wind Shear is because Battle Momentum lowers our cooldowns sufficiently.

Tier 2 (lv. 4)

Mana Tide will be giving us that extra bit of mana we need to keep spamming our abilities. It allows us to have more uptime by having to run back to the fountain / hearting back to base less. Ideally we only want to run back to the fountain in case of emergency.

Tier 3 (Lv. 7)

Battle Momentum is the obvious pick in tier 3. It will allow us to use our abilities more frequently resulting in higher DPS, more pressure and most importantly, more uptime through healing.

Tier 4 (Lv. 10)

My personal favorite ability in the game since I saw the thrall trailer from Blizzcon. Capable of disrupting the entire enemy team if placed well. 'Nuff said.

Tier 5 (Lv. 13)

The second talent that'll boost our Frostwolf Resilience using this one right after Rabid Wolves equals insta heal. Meaning that when facing enemy heroes nearly 50% of our abilities will help us trigger Frostwolf Resilience at a high rate.

Tier 6 (Lv. 16)

I usually go with Tempest Fury as I feel that my damage output is higher than with Blood for Blood not to mention we already have enough self healing. Other than that it's just a matter of personal preference.

Tier 7 (Lv. 20)

This talent makes up for the one thing that Thrall really lacks as an assassin in my opinion. A gap closer / escape mechanic. Sure, one could argue that Feral Spirit helps close gaps, and while it does, Bolt of the Storm does a much better job at it. Not to mention it can help you escape in a pinch.
