Details about the Tank-Support Build Top

Greetings everyone , I am Methystopheles from Elysium Gaming Gr , and this is my Tyrael Tank-Support guide. Officially tyrael is a warrior dps , but his skills and the upgrades the game offers make a perfect hybrid gamestyle , allowing you to adjust in any team setup and fill any role. Me personally, I've played tyrael in around 70 games so far, I have double the wins from losses , and I've worked on the skill setup I will show you a lot , with many different allies to see how it works everytime. In every case, my tank-support role was working great. Apart from the setup though , you need 2 more things to make this build work : 1) Guts and 2) Team with guts.

As you will see , the build focus shield upgrades , healing effects and the Basic Momentum + Judgement ulti for the initiation of the fight and the shield spam.

Tyrael is very good at initiating the fight with his Ulti or his Angelic Flash , and with his shield and the smite spam he can push the enemy and force them to flee , especially if they are split. I prefer to initiate with my Angelic and keep my Ulti to get the support if he sits behind the team or to catch any enemy escaping. In case the fight doesn't go so well , Angelic flash can be used for the escape. In case you don't know how the fight will go and u are unsure for it , don't use Angelic after you initiate. Save it for ur escape .

Due to his sustain of damage with the shields , tyrael's overall dps is really high . You don't get the 70k valla can do , but you will have a minimum of 70% from your first DPS , in the rare occasion you have insane dps players in your team. Having compared the Smite build with mine , in all cases I made more damage . Of course , it's always up to the player and how he uses his character , so it could be that the ones playing the Smite build couldn't play Tyrael in the first place , but statistically it looks like Smite build doesn't allow Tyrael to stay in fight for long and as a result his overall DPS is low.

Now with the shield build , not only Tyrael becomes a "hard to kill" warrior , but he is also protects his allies while he is debuffing the enemy. Shield can be used every 5sec while in fight because of his Basic Atk CD reduction , which means that every 5sec his team absorbs around 300-400dmg in end game fights, and at the same time , the enemies get a -50% atk speed and movement speed for 3sec. It's insane, you literally disable their DPS from the beginning and they fight with this debuff for as long tyrael is there. That's another reason why Tyrael is a perfect initiator , and you should never let the enemy ambush you or start the fight . Tyrael needs his team to be sufficient , to debuff enemy team and let his team destroy them . Being split makes the game harder for both Tyrael and his team.
