there are a number of ways to play Tyrael, none of them quite strong enough... but still a very fun character and probably the most diverse. It should all depend on team compisition and your role to play.
A lot of Tyrael's powers stress independence and don't paint him as a true tank; these builds heavily reflect those qualities. He can take a good amount of focus fire and deal some decent burst damage... but he cannot be the focus of stunlocks, so it's best pairing him with a melee warrior to play off.
Where Tyrael has the advantage, is in his unpredictability; the ability to teleport gives you greater licence to manipulate and obstruct on sheer presence. knowing how to exemplify that presence and knowing when/where to drop judgement is useful to almost any composition.
