What talents not to pick Top

Lets be honest with ourselves and Uther. He does no damage, so we shouldn't focus on making hi do any. Also his basic attacks are worthless, so speccing into those especially for increased healing is a big mistake. Uther has the slowest basic attacks of any support and he's not that tanky so the talents may sound nice but they're really a suicide mission

Why these talents? Top

Well like many heroes Uther has multiple combinations of good talents, But this is the build that is the "standard" for uther the go-to because it defeats all of Uther's worst couters.
Tier 1:
The reason why conjurer's pursuit is the talent shown for this build is because of how hard Uther rips through mana to the point where he wont last without the mana increase.
Tier 2:
Next talent is beacon of light. In world of Warcraft and heroes paladins worst nightmare is spread damage. Especially in the Gul'dan patch it is important to be prepared for spread damage. Uther is a dive in healer, that's how he lands his offensive stuns. With beacon you won't ever have to worry about healing yourself unless you are experiencing heavy focus fire
Tier 3:
This is the most flexible tier. The reason why is none of them are amazing talents. Holy fire's only good if you're super offensive or if you're always in lanes. Cleanse is most effective in team fights and with great coordination.
Tier 4:
I mean...I don't want to say it's obvious. Divine shield is unique and amazing. Divine storm can be amazing but you need a plan, a team, and balls. Go for it with storm but honestly Shield is a great choice in all situations.
Tier 5:
As seen under Tier 2, the idea of this build is to not really heal yourself. So going spell shield makes it easy and increases the value of beacon of light. Obviously Spell shield isn't always a good choice. It would be the same idea with shrink ray. Just against an auto-attack pursuit hero, like illidan or greymane, shrink them and now they're too slow to get away if you are properly positioned. Point is, it's between those 2 if the idea is to not heal yourself because you have beacon
Tier 6:
Now big changes have happened to Uther, fair enough. But I don't see a better talent than benediction, unless you do a complete overthrow of this build and go a completely different direction. Benediction is the counter to Uther's biggest problem, long *** cooldowns. His "q" is the biggest primary ability heal out there but also has the longest cooldown. So bendiction is amazing. But why not hardened focus, if you never have to heal yourself, that's the answer itself. To go Hardened focus you'd have to focus down heals on yourself to be above 80%. With beacon you will hand around 70%ish and can easily top yourself if they hard swap to you. Also Benediction is 2 heals at the price of one. If you look back the first thing i said was that Uther struggles with mana, casting more spells isn't going to help that.
Tier 7:
The only tier with 0 exceptions. Coming back to life is op for anyone. But Uther gets a huge increase in healing output while he is dead, he can spam out "q" 67% as strong as his normal ones and then come back to life. Nothing else can compare to the power of redemption

How to not play Uther Top

Uther doesn't do damage. He should never heal himself. and his "w" is exclusive for healing purposes. those 3 things add up to, don't be alone. Never solo lane, roll with your tank and team and play back. You shouldn't be front-lining looking to slap a couple of people to get your damage up...Your basic attacks are for camps. Dont look to hit enemies with your "w", you're not even specced into it. It will provide 0 benefits. Don't go ham-sandwich bananaslamma looking to land the "craziest kill ever" with your stun that's how you get a dead Uther. Double-stunning with benediction is the ballsiest move an Uther can make it can work, but odds are you won't have the healing to survive a tier 6 fight, It would have to be a guaranteed double kill, or save the life of your team mates.

How to bring the bass Top

It's time, first 10 levels are all about laning. Obviously right? As a conjurer's pursuit healer your job is to rotate constantly between 2-3 lanes collecting as many orbs as you can. While doing this stay back to your side of the map, or you will get caught out and killed. Uther is a monster with one flaw, he dies. Keep him alive and keep collecting globes and get the quest bonus before you hit tier 5. That bonus 100 mana will get you through every post-heroic team fight till end game. There are 2 ways to play Uther

Standard Uther gameplay:
Stand in between your back line wizards and your front line tanks. The idea here is to be close enough to stun an out of position ranged enemy, or they're melee assassin. The trick to spread out you healing and devote certain heal to certain heroes. Uther's "w" should go behind him and hit both back line wizards, and his "q" should go to a lower health tanks, or your melee assassin. Don't hold your cooldowns, and don't use any on yourself. Benediction is when you can relax, if proper position all your back line will need is your "w", but your frontline will need both "q's" one for each or 2 on one to sustain your heavy front line in front of you. Stuns should only be used on people completely out ofposition because to land them, you're out of position.

Of course there's another way but oyu have to be fluid with your movement and comfortable being a little more ballsy, This is called the in-and-out method

The in-and-out method:

Simple in concept. It's all about awareness, start in standard position. Rotate up into the enemy team go for a more aggressive stun on a range dps or a melee assassin making an escape attempt. This will open up the doors for an easy set up-kill. This will draw incredible attention to yourself. If you enter below 50% health rotate back behind you back line wizards and hopefully draw out overly-aggressive dps for more kills. once behind your entire team use your "w" on all 4 allies to top yourself without technically healing yourself. Move back into standard position hold and wait until your stun is back up with great opportunity to land your stun. You will land at most 3 stuns by using this strategy in just one fight.

Using benediction: using benediction for 2 stuns will only work when you and a squishy ally are making an escape attempt to a fight that didn't go your way. Or when trying to cross-cc a healer and a low-health enemy but for the most part avoid this the healing output is too great from 2 "qs"
