Threat Hero Notes
1
Abathur Abathur himself isn't much of a worry to you, if he's in your lane you can pressure him with multi-shot when your laner is Abathur is extremely easy to deal with as Valla. If you catch him behind enemy lines unprepared you can quickly kill him because he is extremely squishy, however be careful if he is laning with an enemy hero as his abilities can do a lot of damage.
1
Murky Extremely easy to kill in 1 or 2 hits. Try to look where he spawns to kill his egg.
1
The Lost Vikings 0 threat to you, you counter them in lane and in teamfights just by your splash AoE. If you're laning against vikings just focus on zoning them.
1
Brightwing Extremely easy to kill, be careful of his polymorph ability in team fights.
1
Gazlowe All easily avoidable CC grav bomb included, save vault for his ult and you'll be fine, in lane pressure him with autos and abilities when he goes for lasers or moves up for turret placement, he has no HP regen or sustain so just stay with minions and pressure when you can.
2
Li Li Not much of a trouble, can be a strong laner if the lili is good but just watch for envenom and make sure you're using your abilities while blinded and you'll be ok.
2
Rehgar Easily kitable, low damage pre 13 and no hard CC pre 16. In teamfights watch our for bloodlust on his teammates and ancestral healing aswell, don't chase a low target with a rehgar on the team or you'll get turned on very quickly.
2
Muradin Same with malf, easily avoidable CC watch out for haymaker/avatar and don't get to close to him or he'll constantly stun you
2
Tyrande Very skill shot reliant champion, save vault for E (Stun) and avoid trading with her when she has mark on you tyrande does a lot of suprising damage so keep that in mind.
2
Azmodan Rather low damage output, vault out of his laser range and you out trade him with just autos if you do that. No mobility and no lock down makes laning against him really easy and not very threatening. Post 10 you melt him with giant killer and his poke doesn't do much against you until late game which even then your team can avoid by picking good engages.
2
E.T.C. Has barely any DPS, however can be dangerous in team fights as his Ulti locks you in place. Otherwise easy to deal with even though he is pretty tanky.
2
Malfurion Easily avoidable CC (root and silence) not to hard to deal with in lane he doesn't do a lot of damage when he doesn't land a root so just avoid it and you'll be fine.
3
Arthas Very easy champion to lane against and to go against in teamfights, save vault for root and just kite him around. Once you get BFB you can just melt arthas and make him null in teamfights if he tries to be a frontliner.
3
Jaina You outrange her and you can out trade her most of the time if you save vault for blizzard. In teamfights just worry about the water ele and dodging her poke
3
Tassadar He is not that dangerous as Valla can easily avoid his abilities. Run away from him and kite when he goes into Archon mode otherwise he's easy to take down.
3
Chen Chen is extremely dangerous in team fights as both his ulti are pretty effective since Valla is very squishy, however in 1v1 he is no real threat as he does barely any damage and is easy to kite as Valla.
4
Zagara Try to avoid her abilities and run away when she releases Hunter Killer on you. If you can avoid those taking her down will be no problem as Valla's DPS outmatches Zagaras.
4
Diablo Diablo is dangerous to Valla as his slam ability can put you behind his gate and in team fights slam you back into his team. However in 1v1 he is extremely easy to kite and has no real range damage except for his ulti.
5
Falstad Falstad is an even fight. It all depends on who bursts who down first as Falstad himself is pretty squishy and has a lot of DPS.
5
Nazeebo Not to much of a problem if you avoid his W as and E as much as possible but don't get to over confident as he can turn on you rather easily
5
Tychus Avoid fighting the Odin if you can as Valla is squishy and Odin can dish out a lot of damage. In 1v1 try to get away from his Overkill ability as that is the basis of his damage. At low life try to avoid him as his Grenade can kill you. Otherwise this matchup is really even and it all depends who kills who first. In team fights try to focus him down from a range.
5
Thrall Rather easy to deal with 1v1 unless you get caught by his root, in teamfights spread out for his sundering and kite him/drop rain on him he can be scary if he catches you though.
5
Sylvanas Easy to deal with in lane until lvl 7, don't trade with her post 4 if you're below 40%. Teamfights she's annoying due to the silence which is actually kind of hard to see, just pay attention and you'll be fine.
6
Nova Very easily outplayable with decent reaction time, only time you should be worried is if you're low HP and you have no cds.
6
Sgt. Hammer Sgt Hammer can bring Valla a lot of difficultly as she has a extremely large range. However if you get up close she can be taken down easily as her DPS cannot match Valla.
6
Uther At later levels this champion is hell to deal with, especially if they take sprint. Keep a good distance away from him and if he dies keep in mind his ghost form aswell. At 20 his Dstorm range is incredibly large so position accordingly, in lane just harass him constantly his mana pool goes away very quickly at low levels.
7
Illidan Depending on wether illidan is ahead or not he can be very easy or very hard to deal with. In lane save your abilities for when he evasions and save vault for after he q's do not run away from him at any point make sure you're putting damage on him at all times or he will always win.
7
Sonya watch your positioning and always be ready to vault her leap, it's easily avoidable even if you don't have the best reaction time. Laning against her is much easier aswell, you can use minions to your advantage to block her chain and just simply outrange her. Don't be to afraid of this champion but be very mindful of your positioning and use vault wisely.
7
Anub'arak Can either be a joke or extremely annoying, save vault for his E to out range him and his impale is rather easily juked, in lane he's just like most melees harass him with autos and dodge his CC
8
Kerrigan Be careful not to be caught by Kerrigan by yourself as she can burst you down extremely quickly. In team fights it would be wise to try to focus her down quickly from a range.
8
Zeratul Zeratul is a pretty big threat to valla, especially if he gets the jump on you. However if it's the other way around you should be able to win rather easily, be very aware of your surroundings and watch for stealthie shimmers. Try to vault his W if possible but most of the time that'll be his opening ability. try to dodge one of if not both of his w's and use BFB to burst
8
Tyrael Tyreal's ulti is extremely dangerous to Valla so try to run away when you're at low health. To 1v1 Tyreal is not a smart choice as he has a lot of HP and teleport abilities to counter your vault. In team fights try to kite him and avoid his death rattle.
9
Raynor Raynor is an extremely high threat as his heal can keep him alive while his Bullseye ability makes you take more damage and stuns you. Try to avoid a 1v1 with Raynor
9
Kael'thas Kael'Thas has an amazing potential for single target AND area of effect damage. KT is not just an AoE champion and a crispy combo lined up on one target can be as potent as Zeratul/Nova burst
10
Stitches One of the more dangerous heroes for Valla as he can pull you in team fights and eat you behind enemy towers. Try not to engage him 1v1 and avoid his hook in team fights at all costs.

Valla's Abilities

Hatred is Valla's trait, which increases her movement and attack speed for each stack. Stacks are accumulated through basic attacks, so it is recommended to keep attacking to keep max stacks at all times.

Hungering arrow is a ranged ability which can strike a single target multiple times, or hit multiple targets. It's a great burst ability when facing someone in a 1v1 and also works well while chasing a low enemy. In team fights it's usefulness varies since you can not control where the arrow strikes after initially releasing it.

Multishot is a ranged aoe ability which does a set amount of damage within the frontal cone. Great for wave clear or team fights in general as well as catching enemies running away with low health since its range is farther than your auto attacks.

Vault is an ability which launches you in the target direction a little bit. Mostly used defensively in order to get away from dangerous situations, but can also be used offensively in order to secure a kill.

Rain of Vengeance is an extremely good Heroic ability as it adds a significant amount of damage when chasing down an enemy hero to get the finishing blow. Rain of Vengeance not only stuns the enemy but also does a heck load of damage which is awesome for the finishing blow

At level 1, I prefer Rancor over all other talents. My reasoning behind this is because I find Valla to be a very auto attack reliant hero, and with this passive you gain an extra 15% attack speed at max stacks, which a good player should almost always be at. This boost in attack speed allows you to output more damage than the other abilities.

Vampiric Assault gives you what you need to start harassing, and to keep you in lanes and on the map. Lifesteal keeps you in lane, in fights, and on the map which makes for the most logical pick up for this build.

At level 7, I prefer Searing Attacks over any other talent choice. This will be helpful for when you need burst damage in team fights or 1v1's. I pick this over the Vault talent choices due to the more aggressive play style I use. I do not think is really useful considering Valla runs out of mana very often, not being able to cast many abilities in every team fight.

Rain of Vengeance is an extremely good Heroic ability as it adds a significant amount of damage when chasing down an enemy hero to get the finishing blow. Rain of Vengeance not only stuns the enemy but also does a heck load of damage which is awesome for the finishing blow. Strafe can be used if you are more focused on team oriented battles or just clearing lanes quickly, however in 1v1's Rain of Vengeance would be the heroic ability to go for. Strafe can also be stopped if Valla is stunned. I would not recommend using Rain of Vengeance to start a battle however, because the enemy can easily avoid the second wave and the ability would be wasted.

At level 13, I choose Tempered by Discipline as my talent. In my opinion, this is where Valla's crazy sustain really shines. At max stacks of discipline, you are able to negate damage from cannon towers and tank them without being hurt. This life leech also helps you stay in action longer, providing you the ability to do more for your team. It also helps you kite heroes even better, considering the 80+ heal every auto attack. Also remember that this life leech applies to structures as well, so if you need to top off, attack anything in order to replenish your health. Another viable talent is Giant Killer if you find yourself facing a very tank heavy team. I do not find to be as reliable, because I believe the self healing from auto attacks outweighs the damage mitigation from Spell Shield.

In this build I prefer using Blood for Blood . Blood for Blood also comes with a lot of versatility as it can be used on the offensive and defensive. On offensive side you can use Blood for Blood to lower the enemies health and slow them down so you can get the finishing blow. On the defensive side you can use it to slow the enemy down so they cannot catch up with you and use it to regain health.

Finally, for the last ability I would choose Nexus Frenzy as it adds a whole lot of extra damage especially with Searing Attacks active. The increased range also helps Valla take down an enemy hero that otherwise would have gotten away. Bolt of the Storm is still useful but since you already have Vault you don't really need another escape.
