Here's the post you've all been waiting for -- the announcement of our 2018 Heroes of the Storm Guide Contest WINNERS! We had so many great entries that it was truly hard to decide on the best guides for each role, and we want to thank everyone who participated in the contest. Our site wouldn't be nearly as awesome without the contributions of our members.

Contest Prizes (9 Winners) We've selected nine awesome guides as winners -- two from each role (Assassin, Warrior, Support and Specialist) and one best overall "Hero of the Storm" guide! Each of our role winners will receive $20 in Blizzard Balance along with 25 Loot Chests, and our Grand Prize winner will receive these rewards, along with a BlizzCon 2017 Goodie Bag! Winning guide authors will also receive a sweet forum badge that will be linked to their guide so that anyone can easily check out their awesome guide with just one click!

Seriously, this guide features everything we love to see in a guide. Excellent formatting, clear and concise information, in-depth Hero, skill and talent detail and strategy -- this guide has it all! Best in Role: Assassin Lath's Comprehensive in depth Illidan guideAuthor: Lathander1449 Lathander1449's guide has been a longtime favorite of our team, and we greatly appreciate his dedication to keeping it updated so players can continue to learn and benefit as changes and additions are made to the game. His guide features detailed ability and talent breakdowns, as well as general and Battleground-specific gameplay advice. We especially like his dedication to providing in-depth strategy for Illidan versus specific Heroes. Bravo! Junkrat Complete Mediocre GuideAuthor: llamazerg A more recent contribution and already a favorite of our team, llamazerg's Junkrat Complete Mediocre Guide is anything but. This guide focuses specifically on first-time Junkrat players and (hence the name) learning to be at least mediocre player. That doesn't mean you can't utilize the advanced strategies presented within to become a downright awesome Junkrat player, of course. We really appreciate how this guide focuses on new players, as they are (of course) an ideal target user of our site. The guide offers a thorough breakdown of how to execute literally any play you could think of and a detailed talent breakdown for getting to know how to better explode things. And who doesn't love exploding things? Best in Role: Warrior Blaze the Firebat (Bruiser Build and Tank)Author: Sugimori We love seeing guides for newer heroes, and Sugimori's Blaze the Firebat (Bruiser Build and Tank) is no exception! As the name states, this guide focuses on two separate builds for Blaze -- a true Tank build for optimum survivability, as well as a strong, damage-dealing Bruiser build, which is especially helpful when playing in a double Warrior comp. Anyone who has played against Blaze knows he's capable of some surprising damage output, and Sugimori's guide focuses on bringing the most of it with each build. Definitely a “don't miss“ guide! (English) Justicia DivinaAuthor: Zodaklatino Zodaklatino is definitely an MVP for taking the time to submit guides not only in his native language but also translated them for our English-speaking audience! Too awesome! Zodaklatino's Tyrael guide offers two excellent builds, one focusing on damage-dealing and the other for taking up that main tank role when necessary! In this guide, you'll find awesome gameplay advice, positioning tips (love those screenshots!), hero synergies -- a bit of everything! Get ready to stand victorious with the help of this awesome guide! Best in Role: Support Auriel - Maximum Damage, Maximum Healing, Maximum VersatilityAuthor: Santy We've always been fans of Santy's great guides, and his Auriel guide shows off more of his awesomeness at guide composition. This guide offers 4 different guides for Auriel, with talent choices based on the Battleground she's being played on. You'll find a detailed playstle breakdown with great advice on getting the most out of Auriel's strengths on different Battlegrounds, based on its size, and how to best utilize the distance/range of abilities like Sacred Sweep and Detainment Strike. Santy offers a very in-depth talent section with full details on how each talent synergizes with its affected ability, and includes a general ranking of each choice. So many awesome ways to play such an awesome Hero! Haidoken's TyrandeAuthor: Haidoken Haidoken is another incredibly talented guide author that we consider ourselves very lucky to have, and his guide to Tyrande is certainly no exception to the awesomeness we've come to expect. Haidoken's guide offers a whopping three separate builds for Tyrande, each focusing primarily on a specific gameplay style and offering talent selections to get the most out of each build. The talent breakdown in this guide is absolutely phenomenal, offering fully detailed explanations of each talent selection and how they contribute to the overall strength of the build. We love the extra gameplay tips included in this guide, too! Another excellent contribution from Haidoken! Best in Role: Specialist Enter: Assassin Probius, Herald of AnnihilationAuthor: Demolij Demolij's guide was totally selected as a winner because it has a table of contents! Just kidding… but it's definitely an awesome feature of an even more awesome guide! Demolij's guide offers an absolutely stunning breakdown of every one of Probius's abilities, offering details on exactly how each ability actually functions in-game. One of our favorite features of Demolij's guide is the extremely detailed Battleground-specific section offering strategies on optimal Probius play taking into consideration each Battleground's layout and objectives -- extremely useful information, especially for a Hero in the Specialist role! Another excellent guide for a challenging Hero. Medivh, a Guardian's LifeAuthor: Zorro If you haven't given Medivh a shot since his recent rework, now's the perfect time with the help of this awesome guide by Zorro! This guide offers a single, all-purpose build that focuses on maximum damage output while providing the necessary utility Medivh is known for. Medivh has always been considered a challenging (and, previously, weak) Hero pick, but Zorro's guide is here to change that by offering detailed skill and talent breakdowns and a strong strategy section, featuring a variety of different playstyles. Zorro's guide will totally have you "raven" about it ahahaha… okay, that was bad. This guide, however, is very good! I've been wanting to do a guide for quite some time, but I was a little intimidated by trying to add some glitter to it. But I'm so glad I finally did it! The Coding Help & FAQ helped tremendously.

I hope everyone can enjoy Junkrat as much as I do. Thank you so much for the honor. I am working on which hero to do the next Mediocre Guide. I promise there will be more :)
