Overview and Reasoning Behind build Top

Hi guys! First time making a guide, but I haven't really noticed anyone else using my build with Johanna so I figured I'd make one for it. The idea behind this build is to consistently spam Condemnation. If you couple the cooldown reduction from Eternal Retaliation with Battle Momentum you can essentially use your best cc ability non-stop. Once you factor in the extra damage from the Burning Rage and Blessed Hammer talents you can keep enemies next to you in team fights and deal continuous damage. The trick is to maintain your auto-attacks in-between casting Condemnation to make sure that cooldown timer stays gone.

Pros & Cons Top

Pros

  • Increased CC
  • Better team fight capabilities
  • Increased Damage

Cons

  • Decreased Survivability
  • Relies heavily on positioning
  • Relies more on auto-attacks

Regeneration Master Stacks Top

I just wanted to note that it's best if you gather regen globes religiously in the early game as it is vital to your survivability. A good rule of thumb is to keep your stacks even to double the game timer. An example would be at 10 minutes in the game you're best scenario would be 20 stacks. You may have to rotate lanes a bit to gather more globes, but it'll be worth it later.

Best Maps vs. Worst Maps for this build Top

The best maps for this build are the ones that involve a lot of team fighting like Battlefield Of Eternity or Tower of Doom. Maps that focus more on laning defeat the purpose of taking the Eternal Retaliation trait.

Alternative Build #1 Top

I only ever make the change to Reinforce over Regeneration Master if the enemy heroes are very right click oriented (ex. Raynor, Thrall, or Valla). Even then I only switch to it if they have more than one or even two auto-attacking heroes.

Alternative Build #2 Top

I make the change to Knight Takes Pawn if the map objectives require me to get more minion kills quickly. This includes maps like Garden of Terror or Tomb of the Spider Queen. This way I can keep up with the rest of my team in completing crucial objectives. That being said, without Regeneration Master you'll find that you aren't as invincible as you normally are as Johanna.
