Threat Hero Notes
1
Kerrigan Early game, as long as you dodge her combo she isn't very hard to deal with. She becomes even less of a threat late game when you have the ability to slow her as she jumps in.
1
Tassadar Wait for his shield to go down before bursting him. Your healing from your W will negate the damage he can do to you, and your passive also negates his shields he places on buildings. (It still buys time, but they still won't be firing anyways.)
2
  No Threat
3
Valla You destroy Valla in lane and in burst for the first few seconds, or at least that has been my experience so far.
3
Falstad You will be able to out burst and out sustain him easily, as long as you are dodging his Q. You'll want to be careful of his Heroic though as you don't have much health to begin with.
4
Azmodan Early game your W will shut down his push potential. Late game his dunks are going to hurt a LOT.
4
Uther IF he can land a stun on you it can be dangerous. Once you get your slow at 13 however, you will laugh every time an Uther runs up to you to attempt to do so.
4
Sonya You have no way of interrupting her Whirlwind without using your Heroic which makes her a pain to deal with in lane. But, like with almost every other Melee hero, you destroy her in team fights.
5
Chen Chen and his Barrel Roll can be quite annoying. If he pops this when you use your Heroic or your E to try and escape it will cancel them out. He isn't much of a threat otherwise.
5
Sgt. Hammer Kind of hard to deal with 1v1 early game. Avoid laneing against them solo.
6
Zagara Early game, her Hydra's will drain half of your health alone if you soak it all. Late game it's not that bad as a few auto attacks and 5 stacks of Q will tear through them.
6
Sylvanas Strange on why I would put the same hero here, but bear with me. In QM you will have to keep an eye on what the enemy Sylv is building, as if they go for more of an Assassin Build, they will end up beating you. But what they get out of early game isn't as great as what you will get out of late game. Just be careful and keep an eye out for her E.
7
Zeratul Poses a high threat, but once you get your slows going he will start to fall off as he won't be able to chase to finish you off.
7
Stitches Can be a bit dangerous to face up against. If he's a good player, he'll be able to hook you from your E, or even Gorge you as soon as you cast it. Make sure to get Bolt of the Storm if you find him bullying you.
7
Jaina Jaina can be a bit of a problem late game. Her slows negate your slow towards her, so movement speed is negligible. What she does have over you is burst, and a Water Elemental to soak the damage from your Q. You should never engage her 1 on 1, but during a team fight you can definitely make her have a bad day.
8
Diablo With his large health pool he will soak up a lot of your Q damage, and can easily put you in a place you don't want to be. Stay away from him and get ready to E away.
9
Nova Can easily delete Sylvanas. If there is a Nova on the enemy team, wait until she engages before putting pressure on their team.
9
Tychus NEVER lane against him, period. His ability to deal tons of damage on the move hurts Sylvanas way too much. During team fights it won't matter as much, but NEVER lane against him.
10
Murky Suprisingly deadly vs Sylvanas. A pufferfish into Octograb will one shot you if your team doesn't do anything about it. So until you get Bolt, beware of him.

General and Background Top

Hello, I'm a Master League player and have been spending my time all day playing Sylvanas today trying out multiple builds to see what works best in what situations for Sylvanas. I've come to terms with this build being the most viable on her as long as you have damage on your team. If not, I would suggest going with the Assassin Build for when you have 2 supports, or just a lack of damage.

I would like to state now that this is not a 1v1 "Who's your God now?" build. This is a teamfighting build that also has great defending, pushing, and chasing potential. If your soul purpose to to stretch your E-Peen on the stats board then look for another guide. However, if you want to win games, keep reading.

Let's get straight into the build, though.

Build Top

Tier 1 -

Lost Soul doesn't seem like much at all, but it eventually adds up, especially being able to get a second one out during a team fight 2 seconds earlier. It will synergize best with the other talents you will be choosing.

Tier 2 -

Paralysis won't help you early game except for being able to micro easier, and guarantees you will not take any damage from Siege Giant camps. What it does is synergize with Overwhelming Affliction. It is a game changer late game, so is a must choose for me.

Tier 3 -

Life Drain is going to be your sustain. You won't have to back as much due to being low health, and healers in team fights wont have to worry about keeping you topped off as much. Might not be as needed if you have a Li Li on your team, but still is very viable.

Heroic Tier -

Wailing Arrow is by far the best of the two heroics.

Tier 5 -

As stated previously, Overwhelming Affliction works wonders when paired with Paralysis. You essentially become a Tychus in this sense, except you don't have to constantly be up in someones face to slow them, nor have to wait on cooldowns as your Auto Attack applies the slow as well.

Tier 6 -

Cold Embrace is kind of the bread and butter of this build. You will destroy minion waves with a single W, you will destroy buildings faster, and best of not all, you will increase damage done to enemy heroes while slowing them at the same time!

Final Tier -

It's either going to be Deafening Blast or Bolt of the Storm here, depending if you need to get out of a sticky situation fast. This is usually against Murky, Diablo, Stitches, or anyone that can put you in a very bad spot that you need to get out of instantly. Otherwise, stick with Deafening Blast.

Playstyle Top

With this build you will be able to solo Siege Giant camps without taking a single bit of damage, however you won't kill them as fast as other Specialists can, which is the drawback.

During a team fight your job is to land your Shadow Dagger and have it spread on as many objects as you can. The more heroes it lands on the better when you have Overwhelming Affliction and Cold Embrace especially. Use your Withering Fire on whoever is in range, even if it is the enemies tank. It's better to be at safety and not allow the tank to escape than it is to dive into the middle of their team and simply die. Use Haunting Wave only to escape or to chase a fleeing team.

It is not suggested to use Wailing Arrow to snipe people. With the long cooldown and the utility you'll be missing out on team fights, that one kill just isn't worth it. If you're able to, instead use Haunting Teleport to get in range and slow them as you slowly tear them to pieces.

Conclusion Top

Sylvanas is a well rounded hero, and this allows you to preform above average in ALL departments of pushing, destroying buildings, and team fighting. I am for the most part leading Hero Damage, Siege Damage, and Experienced Gained in the games that I've played using this build so far.

Go ahead and leave a comment on any feedback, negative or positive, after trying the build out for yourself.
