Threat Hero Notes
1
Brightwing Brightwing by herself is of little threat value. She does however get mentioned for one solid reason here which is polymorph. If you start your Overkill and get polymorphed you wasted a skill. Brightwing is slow and rather defenseless though. So killing her shouldnt be too hard if she is alone. Which is usually never because she ports around to people.

Sgt. Hammer Well played hammers counter many heroes. Tychus is one of them since he can not get in close enough to take her down without dieing in the process. Her damage is completely avoidable though so her threat level is kind of low.

7
Greymane In team fights watch for Greymane as most people like to play him as a diver. Although he is as squishy as say Zeratul he is very dangerous if you let him get close to you.
8
Zeratul Tychus doesnt have a lot of HP like most ranged assassins so stealthies can just walk up to him and kill him. If a Zeratul is around you have to always watch for the invisible shimmer effect and be aware of them popping up on the minimap so you know where they are.
9
Nova Tychus doesnt have a lot of HP like most ranged assassins so stealthies can just walk up to him and kill him. If a Nova is around you have to always watch for the invisible shimmer effect and be aware of them popping up on the minimap so you know where they are. I rate Nova more of a threat only because she has much high range than Zeratul which means if she sneaks into a bush to shoot at you then you likely won't even have a chance to see it coming. Whereas with Zeratul you always have a chance to see him.
9
The Butcher Solo butcher and you die minigun trait or not. His healing and damage out paces you.

When should you pick Tychus? Top

Tychus has a special trait giving him the equivalent of Giant Killer right from the start to do a percentage of the hero's HP as extra damage. This makes Tychus really good against high health teams and more or less a mediocre hero on other things. The reason here is more or less is that there are other picks that have better toolkits to help your team.

Typically if the enemy has a lot of melee (which have higher HP usually except Illidan unless he goes metamorphosis), uses double warriors, or has other high health heroes like Azmodan and Cho'Gall then you will want to go with Tychus. His trait will do a lot of damage to these heroes and make it easier for your team to kill them. All you have to do is stand in the back with your tank do his job and press your trait button then tear apart their tanks and other high health heroes.

Of special note here is that for Tychus to really shine he needs a competent warrior tank to initiate and keep things away as well as another melee frontliner such as a Sonya or other high damage/high health hero who is threatening enough that the enemy cant ignore them. This allows Tychus to, for the most part, go unchecked which results in many casualties on their side.

Minigun Madness Top

Level 1 you will want to start off with Shrug It Off. This gives you more protection when running or backing off during minigun attacks. This is going to be the most stable all around pick. This is especially of importance when fighting closely in team objectives as it can decrease the incoming damage by just jumping to the side. The alternative to this is Press the Advantage which will increase your range temporarily. If you are really experienced using Tychus and have a solid front line to protect you then the extra range given by this talent can help you secure kills.

Level 4 is In the Rhythm which is extremely powerful increasing your minigun duration allowing you to focus fire targets down longer.

At Level 7 you should pick up Quarterback allowing you to throw your grenade farther which can help you kill fleeing enemies easier and poke at enemies better.

The Level 10 ult should be the Drakken Laser Drill. I pick this because it is something I can put on the field and continue firing at enemies where the Odin is very slow moving and slow to start up. The Odin could be picked if you want to, it hits like a truck, but you lose some mobility using it are are completely vulnerable while the ult starts up.

For Level 13 you will want to choose That's the Stuff! for extra healing during combat. This goes well with the extra attack speed boost from In the Rhythm and later it will synergize well also with Sizzlin' Attacks.

Level 16 is Armor Piercing Rounds. Tychus's Overkill gains a damage buff which will help a lot in bringing down enemies. Alternative to this would be Titan Grenade which will give your Frag Grenade a bigger punch for those high health targets when you are trying to finish them off.

Level 20 you want Sizzlin' Attacks to increase your attack damage. This is similar to a "Giant Killer" talent but is much later in the talent tree for Tychus because of how powerful it is on him.

This build is not complicated at all to use. It is a basic attack build, so it is point and shoot. Use your trait skill often and when possible use it on tanks or high health dps to melt their HP fast. Using Overkill allows you to be mobile and shooting targets. Your grenade can just be thrown at stuff to kill them or do extra damage (kill shots are best use).
