Hi! I am Tech. I am an aspiring Heroes player. This is my first guide. I have played countless games as Tychus and have looked at everything he really has to offer. SO I am deciding to throw up my guide for him! There is no one way to build a hero, so you have to change according to you team/enemy team but these are basic builds that can be used.
Strengths:
High DMG
Tank Killer
Great Disruption and disengagement.
Good at kiting
Weakness:
If cooldowns are used, can not chase.
Has to stand still for MAX AA Damage.
Positioning:
Tychus is probably one of the most forgiving characters for bad positioning. He has his grenade, slide, and odin to survive or get out of sticky situations. Saying that it doesn't mean he doesn't want to position well.
With the high damage output, you (and i say this lightly) can attack what is in front of you. With his wind up you dont want to move around too much so do what you can with the positioning you have and only move if you are getting focused hard.
Early:
Tychus is a great high damage character throughout the game. He never falls off and it does not take him anything to get started. Use your Overkill and Grenade to harass and ensure kills early. They both do great damage early and should be used to dominate your opponents. If you are getting ganked your slide and grenade can be used to disengage and put distant between your ganker. There is no good reason to die 1v1 early unless you get killed by a owl/zeratul/nova in your base while you are trying to heal or back. Use this early advantage to secure camps or gank to get ahead
Mid Game
Midgame is where other damage characters start catching up to Tychus, but Tychus does not fall off. Depending on how your team is doing this gives you options to use your odin defensvie or offensive. If your team is winning, You can use it to engage or defensive. If your team is losing, you want to use it offensivly, get the most damage out of it as possible and then you have all your skills up. To survive after your odin dies/times out. Also try to use your nades to spread the enemy team.
Late Game
Late Game is where Tychus and do a **** ton of damage with his Odin. His nuke does a **** ton and it is great zoning even with the slow launch/landing of it. Great pushing power and just great everything in all. There is no great weakness to Tychus at this time.
All talents are switchable for each guide obviously it is personal choice.
Lvl 1: Depending on how your team is set up you might want to pick up Scouting Drone instead of more damage to main target for Overkill>
Lvl 4: If you have no healers I suggest going Vampiric Assault, otherwise the increased range is the way to go.
Lvl 7: Ok this is a controversial tier. All of the skills are actually useful in different situations.
Attack Speed: Skill to get for Highest DPS possible
Grenade Range: Great for quarterbacking enemies to death or to knock them back into you.
First Aid: Great for countering Envenom or if you want a quick heal to go back into fights. (Probably worst choice)
Searing attacks: Provide good burst dmg.
Lvl 10: ODIN. That is all
Lvl 13: Giant Killer or Lead Rain
Giant Killer: If the enemy has 2 tanks get this. Get this and destroy the tanks.
Lead Rain: The slow on this is great for the AOE slow possibility and the "**** you, you aren't getting away from me" possibility.
Lvl 16: Executioner, Knockback, or Shield
Executioner: If your team has a ton of CC, i advise getting this. 40% extra on your AA is great.
Nade Knock Back: This is great for disorienting the enemy team. If used well lets you spread enemy team and pick 1 or 2 off during a spread group.
Shield: If you are dying fast... take it.
Lvl 20: Odin. Nough said. Nuke
