Why go Uther? Top

Uther is one of the greatest Supports in the game (there are so few but bear with me), he has inbuilt CC and a ton of burst healing (where other Supports specialize in small healing doses in quick succession, kind off like a drug dealer. Uther goes man mode and says **** IT take all my drugs *****!!!), he can also tank a great deal not exactly on par with some of the more popular Warriors, but seeing as how the other Supports are all squishy glass cannons, its great to have somebody to take a few hits from your teams Assassins.

Pro's and Con's Top

Pro's ? =

+ Inbuilt CC
+ Great burst healing
+ Tanky (for a Support)
+ Heroics can either set up a wombo combo or make huge plays
+ Literary comes back from the dead (with the level 20 talent)

Con's ? =

- No escapes
- Long *** cooldowns on all your abilities

Passive, Basic abilities and Heroic abilities. Top

Passive ability

This is what mdade Uther so notorious since you could just die and still be able to do stuff. They of course changed this so now Uther can only use a renamed Holy Light promptly named Flash of Light because that's basicly what it is, a nice small heal that you can use ever 1.5 seconds. It's really good but remember your dead for this so don't go search it out.

Basic abilities

One of the reasons why Uther is such a good Support, A big heal that can be used on allies or yourself for that much needed lane sustain. Now this skill does have a down side, mainly it's cooldown is an insane 12 seconds not to mention the other insane mana cost.

The other reason why Uther is a good Support not to mention the focus on this build. Uther sends out a skill shot healing all your allies (yourself, minions and mercenaries included) and damaging all of your enemies that comes in contact with the wave. It's downside again like with Holy Light is the cooldown being 12 seconds, but it has a cheaper mana cost at least. Get good at skillshots because in many cases your allies escaping from a chasing enemy all depends on whether you can land this skill.

Such a good CC skill, honestly it does a minuscule amount of damage, but the 1 second stun makes up for it. This allows you to stun a fleeing or chasing enemy and you can interrupt channeled Heroic abilities like Li Li's Jug of 1,000 Cups or Nazeebo's Ravenous Spirit, it's cooldown is a hefty 12 seconds but it is your lowest mana costing Basic ability.

Heroic Abilities

If your team has a lot of CC heroes (remember you also have a CC basic ability) then take this without thinking, it gives you 3 seconds of "****ing" around time while the enemy can't do **** and you get 20% bonus movement speed allowing that quick escape, another great thing is that you can use it on allies so if you have a ****.. erm sorry Illidan you can shield him while he shreks everything without fear of dying, same goes for the *****er.. damn I keep getting those two heroes wrong The Butcher, he gets to rush in with Furnace Blast and not have to worry about doing anything ells (like trying to get his health back).

If your team has no CC in it, like none at all then get this as it gives your team an area stun. The area is quite small so you have to go deep into danger to land it, but when you do it's Wombo Combo time. A great combo is to stun an enemy with Hammer of Justice first and if they still have enough health to maybe make it out you use this to secure it OR in a team fight stun 2 or 3 enemies and then use Hammer of Justice on the target that will get the most work done for there team ( Jaina/ Malfurion/ Illidan/ Kael'thas/ Li Li etc.) it allows your team to follow up and kill that target while they couldn't do jack ****.

Talent choices and possible replacements. Top

Level 01 =
We take this because Uther has some serious mana problems and with this it isn't as bad. As long as you get the health globes.
Other choices?

Level 04 =
This is taken since it increases out Holy Radiance range and width so we can land it on that fleeing enemy that is nearly escaping or make it easier to land on that nearly dead ally.
Other choices?

Level 07 =
Since Uther is meant to be in the front line with the other Warriors we take this get a constant stream of damage, a big plus is that this helps clear waves.
Other choices?

Level 10 =
Great ability as it gives your target 3 seconds of not giving a ****, so your ****... err Illidan and your *****er... The Butcher don't need to worry about basic things like survival when they jump/ charge in. Plus the 20% extra movement speed is great for escaping or chasing (not meant for this). Can be casted on yourself.
Other choices?

Level 13 =
Great ability, makes those hard hitting Assassins become nothing more than mosquitoes. Reduces there damage and movement speed so you get to chase or escape.
Other choices?

Level 16 =
This is pretty much needed, as it allows you to do some pretty wanted stuff like: An ally is low on health, activate Benediction, use Holy Light, use Holy Radiance, use Holy Light and boom full health OR your team is low on health, use Benediction, use Holy Radiance, use Holy Light on the lowest health ally, use Holy Radiance and boom your allies are back up on health (only really useful when you can heal more than two allies with Holy Radiance.
Other choices?

Level 20 =
This is a must if you are in a solo'queue as the Heroic upgrades only really pay off in a team environment plus it helps a lot as if you get focused in a team fight you are back up to start healing soon OR you can use it for escaping as not that many people follow the ghost of Uther all that often,
Other choices?
