Threat Hero Notes
1
Abathur He should be afraid of you.
1
Alexstrasza She is a strong support, but the Minigun is stronger.
1
Li Li She can run, but she can't hide.
1
Lt. Morales Ask her to give you a physical.
1
The Lost Vikings Three vikings = three kills = 75% exp from all three.
2
Arthas He has quality CC but Relentless Solider will take care of that. Arthas is easy to kite and if he misses on his root he is dead meat.
2
Auriel Her heals are in bursts rather than continues. She won't be able to outheal your damage.
2
Azmodan Annoying, big and slow. Pay attention if he goes for the laser build. Once you break out of it he is as good as dead.
2
Chen The most annoying bastard in the game. He will come to you and bite the bullet.
2
Cho The bigger they are... Take care if he has Upheaval.
2
Ana Sleeping dart is the only thing you should watch out for.
2
Lúcio His shield can be quite annoying. Other than that, Lucio can move and will out run you eventually so consider shooting him down fast.
3
Brightwing The knockback from the heroic and Polymorph are your biggest threats.
3
Gall Shadowflame build can deal quite the damage and will outrange you, but he(they) will go down faster.
3
Kael'thas Great damage dealer but nothing that Neosteel Coating can't fix. Try to avoid/mitigate as much damage as you can. He has no escape mechanism so run and gun him!
3
Li-Ming She has burst and you can soak it all with Neosteel Coating (only once in a while otherwise it would be easier to deal with her than with Li Li). Keep up with her blink and she is dead.
3
Malfurion His silence can be troublesome. His root too. Both are hard to avoid. If you do it he will fall.
3
Rehgar Alone he won't do much, but Rehgar isn't a lone wolf. If you focus him he will have to back off for the sake of his team more than himself (since Ancestral Healing is a common pick and it can't be self-cast he will have to escape - a dead healer can't heal anybody).
3
Rexxar Kill the bear, go for the master and it is easy.
3
Stukov Stukov can't do much to escape from Tychus, but it will take some effort to get to him. Try to get as close as possible and position closely to walls/structures/terrain once he knocks you back (and he will).
3
Tassadar Not a real threat but elusive. Get him while his Dimensional Shift is off.
3
Xul Once he blows his Bone Armor on cooldown you can take him down. Pay attention to Cursed Strikes, Bone Prison and Skeletal Mages. All of these abilities will reduce your damage and mobility, which may allow him to escape or make you an easy target for his teammates.
4
Artanis Quite beefy, but that was never a problem for Tychus. He can gain the upper hand with Suppression Pulse blind effect. Watch for that and the prism and he won't stand a chance.
4
Dehaka He can catch you off guard and use Isolation to ruin your day. If you dodge that, he will run away in the bush!
4
Gazlowe His turrets can deal quite a bit of damage and will distract you. Take care of them and then take care of him.
4
Greymane Can harass in Human form. Although in order to really deal damage he has to get up close and personal in Worgen form. Minigun is counting on it.
4
Kel'Thuzad Similar to Kael'thas. Kel'Thuzad can dish out more damage and has greater CC, but has no escape mechanism as well.
4
Leoric Leoric hits hard. Luckily you can kite him easy. Avoid his damage, brake his soul sucking grip and give him a bullet or two.
4
Maiev The newest addition to the Nexus. Your constant damage output is something she can't avoid. Keep close to her and there is no way you will be out damaged.
4
Malthael Maltheal, The Death Itself - for him that is. His damage rivals yours but he will need to hit you first, so keep kiting him.
4
Muradin Watch out for stuns and knockback (if he goes for that over Avatar). If he goes for Avatar it won't help him much against Tychus.
4
Murky Care for Octograb. You can avoid his slime if he goes for the Slime build, so don't be lazy as to give him free stacks for the quest! You can avoid it. It will pay off later in the game.
4
Ragnaros Something like Muradin. If he doesn't hit you right away he won't do much. Pay attention to this and you won't have any problems.
4
Stitches Care for the Hook and Gorge.
4
Uther He can heal and CC. His greatest enemy are his own long cooldowns. Pay attention when and what he uses and engage him while his abilities are down.
4
Valeera Unlike Samuro, once she shows herself you can shower her with bullets. A smart Valeera will avoid direct combat and try to pick heroes off when she can. Pay attention to her movements and once she is out of stealth she will be like fish on land.
4
Valla She has range and mobility but not as much as you do. Keep up with her and avoid unnecessary damage.
4
Zarya Her CC and survivability are good. Since she relies on shields rather than high health pool to keep her alive (not in favor of Minigun). With a well built In the Rhythm it won't be a problem to deal with her.
4
Zeratul His HP isn't so great and you can burst much faster than he can. His escape is better than yours however so don't try to chase him down: if you can kill him quickly do it, otherwise don't bother.
5
Diablo A CC god. On his own his full CC combo won't be enough to kill you but supported by his team mates you won't stand much chance. It's hard to avoid his combo, so make sure when he does that you poked him enough so he won't last long after his engagement!
5
E.T.C. Similar to Diablo, but easier to avoid. Care for Mosh Pit.
5
Sgt. Hammer She has range. Period. With range comes a lot of damage. Get close and pray that you can get her down faster than she can get you.
5
Sonya She can tank and she can deal damage. But if you kite her she will fall. Keep an eye for that spear.
5
Sylvanas You are tougher, don't let her kite you though. She can burst quickly and you won't notice. Kill her while banshees are on cooldown.
5
Thrall Similar to Sonya. He is a brusier so he can damage but not as much as you can. Position yourself right and run and gun often.
5
Zagara She can spec into some nasty talents and deal a ton of damage. If she happens to do so don't underestimate her. She will try to kite you so keep up and drop the grenade on her zerg minions to kill them ASAP.
6
Anub'arak On his own he won't do much. His high HP will get shredded easily. However, he provides his team with a lot of CC especially with the Cocoon. Watch out for that.
6
D.Va It is always a prolonged battle against her. If you can land a perfect grenade to intercept her Call Mech and kill her then and there you won't have problems.
6
Falstad Great mobility and damage. much like Tychus. It would come to who plays better.
6
Medivh Completely depends on the player, but in general you won't catch him alone and in team fights he will be elusive. Gun him if you get the chance or focus others. On his own Medivh isn't MUCH of a threat so try not to get distracted. If you can nuke him fast than go for it, otherwise focus his teammates.
6
Raynor Damn shame Jimmy, but someone has to bite the bullet... Raynor has greater range and can match Tychus in damage. He is an auto attacker so he will dish out that dps constantly. His heal is good. Whoever plays better I guess.
6
The Butcher Only if he gets Lambs to the Slaughter will he be a direct threat to you. He won't be able to heal through your minigun + the kite.
6
Tychus Typical mirror match. If he goes for the Odin build he has the upper hand.
7
Blaze One word: Resilience. Blaze can dish out damage constantly and keep himself healed. It will come down to whoever can put more pressure on the other.
7
Garrosh The more you shoot him, the tougher he gets. His CC is dangerous.
7
Gul'dan Neosteel Coating will be your best friend against Gul'Dan. Make sure to interrupt his Drain Life with Frag Grenade to force him to retreat. Forcing him to Life Tap without Drain Life will be his undoing.
7
Jaina Her CC is on point and she will keep you at bay. If you can get closer to damage her she will fall quite fast.
7
Johanna This one isn't the strongest but she is t
7
Kerrigan She is tough. The more she fights, the greater shield she will have. Quite a powerful dualist. It will come down to who can outlast the other, although if you avoid her combos and keep your distance with run and gun she won't last for long. THIS TIME KERRIGAN BITES THE BULLET!
7
Tyrael Tyrael is quite strong. His damage and mobility are both good. He can engage and escape. Poke him first and try to kite before you go for the kill.
7
Varian Regardless of what build he goes for, Varian is a powerhouse. His charge and parry allow him to trade blows. Try to hit him more than he does you.
8
Alarak His combos are powerful. It will depend on the players expertise with Alarak, but in general he does a lot of damage and is a good dualist. His silence can ruin your mobility.
8
Cassia Cassia is one tough cookie. Her damage reduction also applies to the Minigun % damage bonus which makes her tough to kill. She can deal quite a lot of damage.
8
Junkrat He will out range you and poke. Both of his heroics can dish out a lot of damage but (if I'm not mistaken they do magic damage so Neosteel Coating will be your best friend if you can't escape them - although with as much mobility as you get from this build it won't be much of an issue). He has no Mana so you have to take him down quickly.
8
Nazeebo He can burst and constantly damage anybody. Even if you get both Relentless Soldier and Neosteel Coating it won't save your for long. Frag Grenade will be your best friend against Nazeebo. It will come down to who is the first to catch the other off guard.
8
Nova Her range makes her deadly. If she can maintain that range, you won't stand a chance. Try to stick close to her. Overkill will prevent her from cloaking an still allow you to keep up with her.
8
Samuro Samuro is nasty. Although you can build up extra seconds on Minigun even if you hit illusions, you will still waste it on them instead on him. He is mobile and can jump you quickly and ruin your day.
9
Chromie She has an incredible burst and long range. It is possible that you won't have time to react with Neosteel Coating. Gun her down while she is distracted.
9
Genji Elusive and cunning. His reflect is your worst enemy as well as his agility. Play smart around his reflect to gain the upper hand.
9
Hanzo Tychus will have a hard time vs Hanzo. He will simply out range you and, if played correctly, will manage to escape once you catch up with him. You will need a good CCer to help you out.
9
Kharazim He is relentless, can heal rapidly and damage equally as well. Plus his mobility is greater than Tychus'. Divine palm will ruin your day. Try to engage him in teamfights rather than 1v1.
9
Lunara Her slows won't trigger Relentless Soldier and she will keep poking until she goes for the kill. If you can't catch her right away, don't bother. That's what she's waiting on - to kite you and kill you slowly and steadily. She can't much Tychus in raw damage but Lunara moves better (always keep that in mind).
9
Probius The little probe has a great slow potential and mobility. He can nuke you down fast. He relies on kiting more than you do so he will be prepared for the fight and extra careful. Catch him while he is yet to set his pylons, photon canon and warp rifts.
9
Tracer She is quick - your Frag Grenade won't hit as often. When she shifts back in time it will break Overkill. Only if she is CCed hard will you be able to get the full minigun duration on her.
9
Tyrande She has it all: stun, healing, damage, range. Hard opponent. Try to be the first one to engage. Hit and run tactics will allow you to keep yourself healed with That's the stuff!. Go for the heal when the opportunity presents itself.
9
Zul'jin Taz'dingo mon! If he goes for full on auto attack build with Taz'dingo don't be cocky: you can't beat him. At that point he will do a lot more damage than you can and way faster. With his level 20 upgrade he will heal in the same fashion as your That's the stuff! so keep that in mind. He is stronger so be smarter.
10
Illidan Evasion is his bread and butter ability vs Tychus. Your mobility won't help you at all against him. He won't stop until you fall. Only way to stop him is to kill him of course.

I PHILOSOPHY I Top

Hey y'all out there, if you've played Tychus for any amount of time, then you probably came across a few of his Minigun builds. Well this one is about making that Minigun into one hell of a BIG GUN!

Essentially, the build is focused around MOBILITY and AUTO ATTACKING.

The core talent of the build is In the Rhythm. The increased uptime of Minigun is what delivers massive amounts of damage. I don't care who your enemy is, they will end up getting shredded by the rain of bullets.

Now lets proceed with the rest of the build.

II TALENTS II Top

Level 1

..... .....

Probably the most often seen talent in many Tychus' builds is Press the Advantage. Given Tyhcus' short range, this allows for a short term fix especially once you get Bob and Weave. Therefore, this talent is VIABLE and can be chosen instead of Combat Tactician if you are having problems with heroes that out-range Tychus and tend to slip away every time.
As far as Dash goes, it's a poor choice given the other two in this tier. You won't need that extra move speed. The extra distance is nice but not enough to justify picking Dash (again especially with Bob and Weave).
Combat Tactician is the best pick in my opinion. Considering that you will spend most amount of time auto attacking, your Run and Gun will be available and refreshed frequently. Bob and Weave also benefits greatly from this. With both talents combined you will never have to mount again! You will RUN and GUN in the truest meaning of the word!

Level 4

.....

**Note: Talent icon for The Bigger They Are... won't load for some reason and that's why it isn't in the row with the rest. On a side note, it would completely destroy the build so we don't need to mention it anyway!

In the Rhythm is a self-explanatory talent and the heart of this build. Increased Minigun duration allows for more damage output. And it only gets better as the game goes on. Although other talents in this tier are good, In the Rhythm is the best pick if you are going to focus on auto attacking.

Level 7

..... .....

This tier offers an offensive and defensive choice. Quarterback on its own is a great talent, not to mention how good it gets with Titan Grenade. I'd consider this talent over Concussion Grenade since you will shred anyone who gets in your range with Minigun and keep up with or run away from (kite) your enemy with Run and Gun. Quarterback will allow you to catch those who manage to get some distance from you.
As for Relentless Soldier: if the enemy is heavy on physical damage and CC, this is an obvious choice.

Level 10

.....

I prefer the Drakken Laser Drill over Commandeer Odin for one reason: once you build your In the Rhythm it will last for the majority of teamfight (even for the entirety of the fight). At that point you can either Commandeer Odin and not use the Minigun or vise versa. Sure you can blend the two and get as much as you can from both, but the time you spend within the Odin is the time you could spend adding more seconds to your In the Rhythm. Also, Combat Tactician does not affect Thrusters so you won't be as mobile (which is part of the BIG GUNS build).
Drakken Laser Drill is a great zoning tool and has a descent damage output. Your enemies will either have to ignore it while you kite them around the drill or invest some time in destroying it. Either way, Drakken Laser Drill on its own is not the main damage source, you are. The drill is a distraction and a tool for some additional damage (mostly because you won't ugprade it with level 20 talent Focusing Diodes).

Level 13

..... ..... Spray 'n' Pray

**Note: Same as with The Bigger They Are... the icon for Spray 'n' Pray is either missing or broken. But luckily, once again, it isn't a relevant talent.

There is a hard debate whether That's the Stuff! and In the Rhythm combo well enough. Obviously you can potentially heal more the longer your Minigun lasts, however the longer it lasts means you will have to wait longer to heal. In some cases you won't live long enough to see it, although if you do it will feel like a self-cast Ancestral Healing. I still like this talent because you can always back off a little bit, get your well earned healing, and proceed to donate bullets in your enemies skulls.
Similar to Relentless Soldier, Neosteel Coating can be chosen if you are dealing with a heavy spell caster team.

We will avoid all Overkill talents for this build. The only time you will use Overkill is when your Minigun expires and goes on cooldown, or to clear minion waves. Much like with Commandeer Odin, the time you spend on Overkill can be invested in In the Rhythm instead.

Level 16

..... .....

Titan Grenade would be the choice here by default. Together with Quarterback it will turn your Frag Grenade into a long ranged nuke.

Level 20

..... ..... Sizzlin' Attacks.....

**Note**: One.last.note: Sizzlin' Attacks code link seems to link to the old talent that Tychus had. The current Sizzlin' Attacks adds +1% of enemy heroes max health into damage on every auto attack and it stacks with Minigun. Quite a good talent, but we will skip it for Bob and Weave.

And the build comes full circle. Bob and Weave has an incredible synergy with Combat Tactician. With a maximum of 3 stacks of Run and Gun, Mana Cost reduction to 25 Mana and the ability to reduce cooldown of stacks with each auto attack, it would be a "damn shame" not to take this opportunity for mayhem! This is where Tychus gains a massive empowerment to his MOBILITY. Now you can proceed to run and gun the poor bastards with ease!

III GAMEPLAY III Top

Gameplay is quite straight forward. Try to build In the Rhythm as much as possible so that it can last through the entire teamfight later on. Use Overkill while Minigun is on cooldown, Frag Grenade if you can't catch up with the enemy or to interrupt spell casters, poke, etc. Make the most out of Drakken Laser Drill by kiting your enemies in its radius. Sometimes the drill can serve just as a body that the enemy will focus, giving you time to escape/reposition/engage. Pay attention to Minigun duration so you know when That's the Stuff! will kick in to heal your damaged butt. Run and Gun with Bob and Weave and Combat Tactician allows for hit and run tactics and aggressive push/chase play: make the most out of it. Unfortunately, you will need level 20 to complete this build so make sure your team (and yourself as well!) is grinding as much experience as possible and once you hit 20... well Hell, It's About BIG GUNS!
