LEVEL 1
Although Purge Evil is nerfed throughout the alpha from 50%-> 30%, it is still very strong and should be taken priority over other level 1 talents. however Horadric Reforging isnt that bad as well.


LEVEL 4
All talents at level 4 is almost equally good! and each have their own advantages, if your team has two good healers, Amplified Healing is ideal pick, Vampiric Assault is a great pick when there is a lack of healer. Angelic Absorption is great but not for the current meta or build. Retribution seems to be my favorite at the moment.

LEVEL 7
Again i love all the talents at this level, pick for the right build as stated above. i havent really give Reciprocate a try yet as it feels underwhelming, i would go for searing attack if i wanted damage. Battle Momentum is really good and so is Angel's Grace for the extra move speed as tyrael is hella annoying with his mobility.

LEVEL 10
Definitely Judgment right here, i cant say Sanctification is super bad, but it requires more teamwork to make it really useful and its far more situational to use than judgement.

LEVEL 13
Burning Rage and Angelic Might both boosts Tyrael's dps by a notch up, ive tried both many times but Burning Rage seems to come out top. as for Cast Aside i feel its good, but i still dont think its worth giving up Burning Rage & Angelic Might for.

LEVEL 16
Again every talent here is useful, proceed to take according to the game, use the build i made if you arent sure. Blood for Blood if there is like two tanks in the enemy team,blade of justice to maximize dps.

LEVEL 20
Resurgence of the Storm Hands down.

Tyrael is the most feared hero when faced off alone in a 1on1, he is the only hero that can provide good support,insane kiting abilities, and strong tanking and dps ALL at the same time, and also having one of the best Ultimates as initiation. He provides great support to the team by using the shield talents, with superb mobility and good support with shields & smite that provide great EHP & speed boost, he can also slow enemies with his El'druin Might providing MORE support for the team to catch up and annihilate the opponent or escape from enemies. Not to mention Judgement is one of the best initiation in the game right now. Using the FULL DPS Build you are able to outdps most of the DPS in games.

Some might even say Resurgence is broken, whenever tyrael initiates the chances of your team winning a battle is so high that even after death your trait deals almost half of the enemy max HP in terms of damage, then you immediately respawn and go for a 2nd fight.

Tyrael is able to 1v2 most of the time against most heroes that doesnt have sustain and kills them in a fashion manner.

A master Tyrael is almost impossible to kill.

5/5 Star Hero with great mobility,damage,hp,support and initiation. He my friend, is the master of all heroes of the storm, some might even think he is God and starts worshipping him even after the gaming session irl.

I believe Tyrael is a very good ganker where he can provide the slow and speed boost for his teamates and also by body blocking and using the shield at the right timing(Ie: diving towers) can front lead an enemy thinking you are going to die. Even if you do, your trait can still kill them. so i really like Tyrael Roaming!

Being a laner, Tyrael is able to bully his opponent most of the time by gap closing easily and using shield and landing few extra hits everytime he gap closes and shield up. Poking down the enemy HP and finally waits for gankers to come and kill.

Always go for squishy heroes like Nova Or Valla, you dont necessarily have to use Judgement go in, but if you do, make sure your teamates are able to kill off the target. You are the initiator.


Smite is the key to success as a support, you have to place Smite where it can not only damage the most opponents at the same time giving speed boost to your team is crucial.

Using the Shield at the correct moment takes tremendous concentration , it might save a life or two. it can be a game changer.

If you see that the battle is at a bad state where your team is losing, It is okay to die at times taking more damage and dying for your teamates and when you have to die use your Archangel's Wrath to turn the tide of the battle when enemy is clumped up. If not , El'druin your way out !

Once you hit Level 20, always make sure Resurgence is NOT on a cool down before you die. With Burning Rage, you can almost 1v1 most hero and take them down easily and farm camps at a good speed. :) Dont worry since resurgence is up, go for a little more aggressive play, kite them and bait them for your teamates.


Dont be afraid to die and Archangel's wrath the enemy team since it deals alot of damage in late game, and immediate revive using Resurgence to re-enter the battle to claim the lives of the poor souls!
