Hello,
for sure I am not a player on your level however I would like to share my thoughts about this kharazim build and character of monk in general.
I think that you have missed a point about kharazim totally. For sure he is good support for ranged assassins, and u have to be careful playing him and stay off the front-line with some heroes combos. But in general Kharazim have decent HP, good hp regen and top self-sustain abilities. So playing him as a normal support on the back of your team is just a waste of his potential. In fact, from my experience Kharazim is wonderful in composition with strong mele teams (like double tanking and male assassin or even good CC male asa and single tank). He is also doing well versus teams with squishy high dmg dealers like li-ming, kt or falstad supported by heavy tanks like mura. In both cases his best position during tf is on the front-line just on the back of your male guys. You are not supposed to heal safe ranged assassins. You are going keep alive your strong guys and crush squishy opponents! Thanks to his passive healing he is fine on the front line same as male assassins while healing burst for your guys close to enemies lets you push enemy team without fear. No other support can be as good front-line healer as khara. In addition to that Seven-slaps ability is simply overpowered and I am sure it will be weakened soon. Using palms in HL with random people playin on rangs >10 is inefficient due to lack of trust from your teammates (which is quite rational). Simply you cannot use its potential with everyone even if you have mastered it on your own. Thats the reason for taking seven strikes which does not require so much coordination. Whats more, seven slaps is intended for annihilating tanks- thats perfect addition to your male based team.
To sum up, for me playin Kharazim is about making great dmg (comparable with lower assassins) to enemy low hp dmg dealers, and in the same time doing top healing to your male part of the team. If you will make enough mess on the front line then your ranged teammates will be safe, if not, you can always jump to them for a moment. Use seven strikes for eliminating tanks if your team lack dmg or use it for psychological effect and get some positional advantage thanks to that (if u target strikes properly and focus it on 2-3 targets, you can be sure enemies will just waste a second or two to run out of your range)- it's your "monky" blessed way of CC :).
Khara is much more than just support, he is born to lead the team into Team Fight!

Yes you are more than a 100% right my friend and you have grasped the concept of Kharazim very well (he is used exactly like that). However you have to keep in mind that this guide is merely a guide for new players to the hero and I would never ever tell them to go for risky plays since I will probably have their future teammates in QM/HL curse me for doing so :p Once you master the hero and have a good understanding you can do insane things that other support heroes could only dream of. If you have watched any games from Khaldor's channel that I've played Kharazim with my team you'll find out that in fact I am a very aggresive player on him (as it should be. On the ultimate choice now especially in the lower ranks/mmr tiers you'll be surprised to see that it's a lot easier to land a Divine Palm than at higher ranks. Simply because most people won't show restrain on the damage or won't even notice the Divine Palm, so I really encourage players to pick that talent. Also keep in mind that SSS is a good and viable choice only when the enemy team runs few melee heroes. Finally to wrap this up I would like to thank you for taking the time to post such a huge response, I loved it.

tanks for reply. I would love to watch your games with him then. :)
I agree that palm is great ult, however I just found that strikes are more versatile in casual games. Even though if you can land palms properly, their impact in lower rang games is not so huge because of chaos (in comparison with pro matches) during tf. I think it's very tactically important skill- as you said in your guide- and because of that I prefer to have something more robust for mess and mistakes (from my side, my teammates and even my opponents). Thats why as not pro player I more often chose SSS. Nevertheless now I understand purpose of your guide, and I am sure it's serving it rly well. Nice conversation for me, you are great player indeed.

Hi this guid is very good, You made every choice clear with examples and arguments. But i have one question: how does kharazim heal 368 points on level 1 while using deadly reach and his trait? He has 8 attacks which means he can heal three times (3*76=228).. Did I miss something?
Please write more guides.

oops, thx for noticing. I did the math before the scaling changes and never changed it, the numbers used to be a bit different

Two useful tips:
1) Kharazim's (E) Deadly Reach can be pre-activated at any given time, even while mounted and it will not dismount you. Therefore it is a good idea to pre-activate Deadly Reach at the start of the game and regen the 50 mana spent, it's also good to pre-activate it when you're on your way to a teamfight.

Pre-activating the skill means that icon will change into dark color and it will remain "ready" like that until you punch any target, which triggers the effect and cooldown.

2) Kharazim's Q (Radiant Dash) does not only target heroes, but basically every unit. You can jump to friendly and enemy creeps, monster camps, bosses, summoned units...

1) Activating your E before the fight will surely grab you some time to regenerate those 50 mana you spent, that's not a good advice for new players though, since you might forget that it's activated and probably waste it. Once you get the hang of the hero, sure that's a great tip!

2)I don't state anywhere that it's only for target heroes :p will change the wording a lil' bit to make it clear.

Thx for the feedback!

Great formatting and explanations for this stellar build. Out of all the Kharazim guides I've read today, I think you might have the best grasp of the hero. This is a rank 1 HL build and your talent choice explanations really make this a great guide.

On a side note, I have to agree that Divine Palm is hard to hit at higher levels of play when the burst damage can take a hero from 100 to 0 in less than 2 seconds. Timing it just throws the whole enemy team off though dosen't it?

Thanks a lot for your kind words, it means a lot :) Yeah DP can also be used as a kind of "repel" for the enemy team and that alone might be enough to allow the focused hero space to escape/survive

Good guide. I'm a pretty new player, so I don't have much gold. But now that he is free, I'm definitely going to try him.

Great guide. I play Kharazim in ranked with 2200 mmr about 90% of my games. I've played almost 200 games with him (hero level 13) and I agreed with pretty much this whole guide! Another thing I would mention is Epiphany is also a good choice if you had to pick Foresight trait, now giving you some clutch extra reveal dashes.

Thanks a lot! :) Yeah Epiphany gives a really nice boost to your mobility, the main reason it might not see so much play is because of the other talent choices at lvl 20
