Level 1
this build starts off taking
Third Wind to increase the rate of your self heal and lower the amount of health you have to lose before the enhanced version kicks in.
Level 4
you are going to primarily be taking
Reverberation for the increased attack speed slow. this is great for auto attack based enemy teams. the alternative to this would be
Thunder Burn which would lead into the healing talent later.
Level 7
you want to go
Skullcracker this will allow you to interrupt heroes via a short stun. this usually helps most with front line heroes that have to get up close but also helps in team fights when the team is trying to stay close and you can just keep landing auto attacks. your alternative here would be
Landing Momentum for escape or chase.
Level 13
there are a lot of choices depending on your situation. first off is
Burning Rage. this is good because as a tank you are ideally going to be in the middle of things most of the time anyway. it also has side benefits such as uncloaking stealths if they get close and being able to get rid of zagara's creep tumors without having to use your mana for abilities. if you went with
Thunder Burn then you will want to take
Healing Static for the extra benefit of healing if possible.
Spell Shield is going to be the primary choice when dealing with hard hitting burst damage from mages like jaina, kt, and chromie. it also is good against ability focused heroes like sonya.
Level 16
at this level there are a few choices, but the most reliable one is going to be
Heavy Impact which gives your jump a stun. this allows you to jump in and stun an enemy. this is a good engage tool or good for stopping an enemy from fleeing.
Imposing Presence is going to be used when you have an auto attack focused team where it is necessary that you keep them slowed. this works in a couple ways because all they have to do is hit you to be slowed, but there is an active skill that slows them for even more if you get close to them.
Level 10 / 20
for your level 10 ult choice you want to go with
Avatar to pick up the additional health.
at 20 you have multiple choices. first is
Rewind which will allow you to reset your basic ability cooldowns. this can be incredibly useful in group fights once you spend your abilities because then you just click rewind and you can use them all again.
Unstoppable Force should likely only be picked if you find you are getting stunned or locked down a lot. it will significantly reduce the duration you are disabled and increase the duration of your ult. last would be
Hardened Shield which reduces all damage taken for 4 seconds. it is a really short duration. however, something like this can be very useful when facing a team with the
Giant Killer talent or if they have a tychus on their team as it will buy you up to 4 seconds of reduced damage.
Level 1
this build starts off taking
Perfect Storm which will build your damage every time you hit a hero with your stun and also reduces its mana cost by a flat 25%.
Level 4
you are going to want to take
Thunder Burn since it will leave an extra
Thunder Clap zone behind. this will give you higher damage later.
Level 7
your primary choice here is going to be
Piercing Bolt because it will allow you to hit up to 2 enemies with your stun. which will also allow you to build your damage faster and lock down an extra enemy.
Level 13
since you go with
Thunder Burn then you will want to take
Thunder Strike for extra damage to single targets. alternatively
Healing Static is a good choice for the extra benefit of healing.
Level 16
at this level there are a couple choices.
Heavy Impact is going to be the most reliable choice to go with since it allows you to jump in and stun enemies. it also enables you to jump on fleeing enemies and stun them to stop their escape. alternative to this would be
Give 'em the Axe! for more damage.
Level 10 / 20
for your level 10 ult choice you want to go with
Haymaker. this is used in one of two ways. either knock away threatening enemies to make the fight easier or knock an enemy back into your group for a kill. the later one being the hardest since it takes good positioning on your part as well as coordination on your team's part.
at 20 you have multiple choices. first is
Rewind which will allow you to reset your basic ability cooldowns. this can be incredibly useful in group fights once you spend your abilities because then you just click rewind and you can use them all again.
Grand Slam is the other choice giving you a second charge of
Haymaker which means you can knock away another enemy, or the same one when they come back.
