Introduction Top

Muradin has no shield, therefore he is not a tank (flawless logic). You may be inclined to play and build him as a tank/initiator after viewing his skills and talents. However, it takes one game to realize that in his current state Muradin is worthless in that role. Go ahead try it, or maybe you already did and are looking for an alternative which is why you ended up here.

Skills Top

This whole build revolves around hitting the Stormbolt skillshot. You should be hitting a hero with this ability on cooldown at the start of the game to build its damage via Perfect Storm. Gain maximum value by hitting two heroes at once (+10 dmg) after picking up the Piercing Bolt talent.
Mostly just a waste of mana until picking up Thunderstrike. You can use it in a tight spot to escape, but ideally you will not find yourself within the range for it to be necessary
Like thunderclap this ability will be mainly utilized to keep space between you and the enemies, allowing Muradin to throw more Stormbolts.
This passive has great synergy with the build because of the goal to keep distance and not take unnecessary damage. It will allow you to stay in lane and across the map without backing if utilized correctly.

Talents Top

WHILE THE BUILD ALLOWS DIVERSITY HERE ARE THE 3 TALENTS I DEEM MANDATORY (LVL 1/4/7)
Perfect Storm to increase Muradin's damage to something respectable. Sledgehammer combined with Perfect Storm will have you hitting buildings for upwards of 2000 DMG. Piercing Bolt will give you additional bonus damage through the Perfect Storm talent, and you can also position yourself to hit both towers and gates with one Stormbolt.

LVL 10
I prefer Haymaker for the added damage, soloing capabilities, and knockback to maintain distance.

LVL 13
I take Thunderstrike for the soloing potential, +300% is a big number. The radius is also not too big so you can only hit one target in teamfights if you please as well.

LVL 16
I take Dwarf Launch for better escape, and also the ability to gap close farther into a Stormbolt.

LVL 20
Resurgence of the Storm will always have undeniable value.

How to Play Top

I'm going to make this super simple, because that is what this build is all about. I also hate reading thesis statements on how to play a video game.
  • If your Stormbolt is off cooldown, get that **** fixed asap by throwing it at a hero or a building.
  • Always hit 2 heroes with Stormbolt when possible for max value between Piercing Bolt+ Perfect Storm.
  • Keep distance and position yourself to keep throwing Stormbolt.
  • After picking up Haymaker and Thunderstrike you can solo most players, and they will never see it coming.
  • Your Stormbolt DESTROYS buildings.
  • Below are some images showcasing the power of this build, these numbers can get much higher as the particular game lasted 20 mins and I could have done better with buffing my Perfect Storm.
I may have dropped out of Precalculus in the second week, but I know enough to realize this is a BIG NUMBER.Stormbolt two buildings at once, this can be used on other groups of structures as well. Thanks for reading and hope you can have fun leveling Muradin to 5 this week now -_- . I stream at twitch.tv/heromode_ daily and play silly amounts of kpop if anyone is in to that.
