I will be trying to keep the counterpicks within the hero's role except in specific cases.
EVERY HERO HAS SOMETHING THAT IS GOOD AGAINST ANOTHER! THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE A COUNTERPICK TO THEM!
For this guide, here are the 3 criteria I think about when considering a counterpick:
1. Able to deal damage, out-heal, or CC the hero easily, effectively, and at a higher rate or frequency
2. Can not be dealt with easily by the hero either through damage or peeling
2a. The hero should not be able to quickly kill the counterpick
3. The playstyle or abilities of the counterpick should lead to a natural advantage over the hero
maybe a small section for favourable matchups to include counters that are just straight up good against the hero?
